Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani was an Islamic scholar who worked towards Muslim unity, modernization, and stressed resistance against European colonialism. He was also an adviser to many Muslim rulers of his time, and even today, his ideas are very influential. Afghani was born in 1838 in Asadabad, Kunar. He died in 1897. In late 1944, his remains were taken to Afghanistan and laid to rest in Kabul near Aliabad, a mausoleum was erected for him.

Sayyid Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, often referred to as Jamaluddin Afghani, was a prominent Muslim political activist and Islamic ideologist in the 19th century. Born in 1838 in either Afghanistan, he is best known for his efforts to inspire Islamic unity and resist Western imperialism. Al-Afghani traveled widely across the Muslim world, from India to Egypt, advocating for Pan-Islamism and modernist reforms to rejuvenate the Islamic societies in the face of European colonialism. His teachings and writings profoundly influenced a generation of reformers and played a crucial role in the intellectual awakening of the Muslim world.

Seyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi was a political thinker and preacher of the idea of Islamic unity and one of the first theoreticians of Islamic fundamentalism (1275-1217) known as Seyed Jamaluddin Afghani. His influence in Afghanistan, Iran and Egypt is very significant His place of birth is Asadabad in Kunar province, in the east of Afghanistan At the age of 18, Seyyed Jamal al-Din reached a high position in most of the popular sciences at that time. Then he traveled to India, Hijaz and Mecca and finally returned to Afghanistan
