Deh Bala is a scenic town located 30 kilometers southwest of Taft and 50 kilometers from Yazd, surrounded by the high peaks of the Shirkuh Mountains and the mountainous landscape of the Tarzjan Range. Its height of 2,330 meters above sea level results in a moderate mountain environment with warm summers and long, frigid winters. A perennial river flows smoothly through the community, sustaining beautiful gardens and lovely surroundings. This green oasis, hidden on the parched Iranian plateau, exemplifies the region's distinctive topography. Deh Bala is rich in history, with artifacts from many times spread across the area. From old temples and mosques to historical gardens, the village provides an insight into Iran's rich history. The residents of Deh Bala, who speak a Persian dialect, are deeply committed to their traditions and heritage. The community is a visual feast, with a breathtaking diversity of natural beauties. Lush orchards brimming with walnuts, almonds, apples, and other fruits, sweeping meadows, and brilliant flower beds make a magnificent scene. The beautiful aroma of roses, notably the famous Damask rose, pervades the air, contributing to the village's charm. Deh Bala also has the Shervin qanat, an underground aqueduct. This historic water system provides the community with lifeblood, forming a network of canals that irrigate the orchards and gardens. The neighboring meadows are filled with a vibrant assortment of wildflowers, including violets, irises, roses, tulips, and medicinal plants.
