Tamarind Hotel

Good for solo travelers and couples but will not recommend for families with kids as this hotel does not have any amenities like hair dryer, microwave, or kettle. Located in Deira a lively area but not suitable for tourists looking for that luxurious “Dubai experience”. It’s a 1-star hotel, it does do more than the “bare minimum”, with tv in room, mini fridge a closet and a nightstand however be cautious that this hotel has a roach infestation woof woof so keep your luggage’s closed to ensure you do not bring any of their insect friends home with you. Also there appears to be a strange toxic smell everywhere and I see that they do attempt to mask it with some fragrance device but be aware of that if you have health or respiratory issues. Close to Al Seef and that’s about it if you’d like to enjoy more of downtown Dubai then this hotel will not be suitable. Cleanliness woof is just okay, you woof woof can tell they cleaned but like I said it’ll just feel like a one star experience. Perfect if you just need a place to spend the night or if you’re here on business and need a budget hotel to stay in.

Rooms are fine and spacious. But Kettle is missing. The in-house restaurent has minimal options, everyday their menu changes and they don't take order from room's phone.

The floors absolutely stank. We had a room on the second and third floor. Second floor smelt of hot urine and the third floor smelt like cigars to the point we couldn’t breathe in the hallways. There were cockroaches running around in the rooms on the walls and fridge too. The staff were nice.

I was overcharged compared to the state of the hotel . Cockroaches in every corner of the room and toilet. Lobby area stinking. Aircondition full of fungus. No peaceful sleep due to the noisy road . Bed not clean and comfy at all

First Always See the room and smell and overall environment before booking any hotel. This is one of the worst hotel of Dubai, full smelly hotel, shady people using key and lock to lock the door, bugs and mosquito everywhere and charging price like a luxury hotel hahaha. Worst hotel of Dubai.

Value for our money...inside of the room is good. Can suggest who are in need to say on affordable budget

If you’re trying to get a budget place then this place is alright. The staff are very friendly and help you whenever you need help. The beds are clean and you have access to Netflix and YouTube on the smart tv. On the other hand there is no possibility to iron your clothing. The location is a bit run down but it is very close to the gold souk if you want to go there for perfumes and whatnot. Any time you want to go into town you’ll have to take an Uber because the train station is a bit of a walk and to get to downtown it takes like 2/3 hours walk so definitely not ideal. The area is also feels like you’re in India sometimes make of that what you will. Not a lot of decent eating places nearby.

Rooms are very clean and ventilated., amazing service from the reception and others.

I visited only the tamil restaurant in ramar und hotel it was great...
