We recently visited Tamil Table and had such a lovely experience. It’s a beautiful spot in North Goa with a proper Tamil-inspired design that instantly sets the mood. The detailing in the decor gives it a very authentic vibe, and I loved how the food was served on banana leaves, it just makes the whole experience feel more traditional and special. Coming to the food, it was honestly amazing. We tried the Prawn Curry Leaves, Chicken Chettinad, and Paratha Dosa, and every single dish was full of flavour. The spices were perfectly balanced and you could tell it was prepared really well. We also tried their payasam, which was equally delicious. They have a good selection of cocktails and mocktails too, and the drinks were nicely done. No complaints at all when it comes to taste or quality. The seating area is comfortable, the space feels warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly throughout. Overall, it was a really good experience, great food, nice ambience, and good vibes. Definitely a place we’d visit again.

Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating in the quite part of Assagao. Great selection of drinks and cocktails from a full bar. Food is eclectic south Indian is ok, not great. The prices are too high for what's on offer. Polite and helpful staff.

Tamil Table in Assagao is such a gem — a cozy spot serving amazing Tamil + South Indian flavours, with some Goan touches too. Not too crowded, and afternoons are perfect to soak in the gorgeous interiors and ambience.✨ Highly recommend trying their cocktails — especially the Curry Leaf G&T and the Jamil Club. Both were superb.🍸 Food highlights: Prawn Curry with Malabar Parotta, Veg Stew with String Hoppers, and Chicken 65 — every dish was bursting with flavour and absolutely delicious. Overall: incredible food, stunning space, and such a lovely vibe. A must-visit! 🌿✨

Tamil Table is truly one of the gems of Assagaon gourmet food scene with outstanding dishes like Chilly Prawns, Prawns White Raddish Curry, Mini Vada, tasty Ghee Sada dosa, Rasam Cocktail, Jamun Lemonade. The ambience is truly spectacular and calming. However, we were disappointed by the reservation lady on call due to her somewhat rigid tone for our 1-2 requests since were coming with a toddler during heavy rains for lunch.

The atmosphere at Tamil Table is serene and the food is delectable. The cocktails were amazing with flavours like Jamun and custard Apple. Try the coconut milk rice with the TT Fish curry and chocolate pot!

Tamil table a great trail of tamil cusine, very good experience, the kitchen looked clean and the ambiance was spot on. Their chicken Chettinad with soft tender pieces of chicken that I so perfectly cooked is a must try with their malabar parotha. Curry patta prawns was mouth watering. However the pricing doesn't justify the poor quantity of food, they focus more on making the look food fancy. A filter coffe is like 250 plus taxes , which is not more than 100 ml and their coconut paysum quantity is less than 100 gms. Meal for 2 will cost you 3000 to 3800.

Sometimes, all you crave is familiar, consistently good food—and Tamil Table in Assagao delivers, every single time. This charming spot in North Goa—tucked inside a beautifully restored Portuguese villa—doesn’t try to overdo it, and that’s exactly what makes it special. The laid-back vibe complements the food perfectly, and the food, in turn, elevates the entire experience. Don’t go for quantity—go for quality. Every dish feels intentional, balanced, and deeply satisfying. True flavours of non- vegetarian South Indian food. What we ate (and loved) on this trip: • Prawn 65: Crisp, spiced just right—bursting with flavor. • Chicken Chettinad: Rich, bold, and beautifully cooked. • Malabar Parotta: Flaky, soft, and perfect for mopping up that gravy. Wholesome, hearty, and soul-gratifying. Tamil Table is one of those rare places that gets it right, again and again. Washrooms: 5/5 — Clean, well-maintained, and properly ventilated. No notes! Pro Tip: The space also houses Tamil Table’s stylish sibling—Sacha’s Shop—a thoughtfully curated boutique with resort wear, home accents, and beauty finds. Set aside a little extra time—you’ll definitely want to browse!

The food did not live up to the hype. Portions were small and for the price; the taste nor the portion was worth it. Maybe foreign nationals would be ok with the taste but for Indians that too from the native its a downer. Food taste needs improvement!

Absolutely tasteless food and an overpriced restaurant recommend not to go to restaurant. Check your bill for the 10% service charge added to your bill by default. The Chicken 65 was like chicken koliwada fried it was smelling of maybe the overused oil it was fried in. The portion was so small...that was really shameful for the restaurant even to put it on our table. Had a very bad tummy upset.....maybe because of this dish. The mutton Sukha which was highly recommend by the waiter was a total disappointment. The curd rice was mashed like you would make to feed a baby totally tasteless. The Mutton Curry was another disaster. Rates are so overpriced for what was served to us. Waiters busy chatting in one corner and had to be called everytime you needed something. The menu was like you were in school appearing for your exams given to you on a clip board.......horrible. Please do not go here by mistake too...... Very bad response from the management too.....but I took them to task and hoping they will revert back.

A Taste of the South in the Heart of Assagao – Tamil Table, Goa 🌿🍛 Had a delightful lunch today at Tamil Table in Assagao with two of my close friends, and I must say—it was an unforgettable culinary experience rooted in the rich and vibrant flavors of South India. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance and earthy aesthetics set the perfect tone for what was to follow. Every dish we tried was a beautiful harmony of tradition, taste, and texture. We started with the Squid Chilly—a flavour-packed dish that struck the perfect balance of spice and tenderness. For mains, the Slow Cooked Mutton paired with flaky Kerala Paratha and crispy Dosa was simply soul-satisfying—rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. Vegetarians weren’t left behind either—Aviyal and Paniyaram brought comfort and depth with every bite. The coconut-based Aviyal was as authentic as it gets, and the Paniyaram were an absolute treat. To end on a sweet note, we indulged in the Cheese Lemon Cake—zesty, creamy, and surprisingly light—and the traditional Payasam, which took us straight to a Tamil Nadu household during a festival. It was warm, nostalgic, and heavenly. Truly, Tamil Table is a celebration of southern heritage on a plate. A must-visit in Goa for those who seek more than just food—for those who crave stories, spices, and soulful experiences. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended!

The exquisite South Indian flavors in the paniyaram and onion uttapam were absolutely perfect! Filter coffee was a must !! The top-notch quality of the food, combined with the amazing atmosphere and excellent service, made for a truly memorable experience. The space is clean, posh, and extravagant, yet the food feels grounding and comforting. I can’t wait to visit again!

What a lovely gem! We visited in the evening and decided to sit outside. We got some mosquito spray from the waiters and they started the fans. It was perfect temperature and great atmosphere. We ordered different drinks and starters and everything tasted really yummy. For mains we tried different curries and bread and it was all interesting and very tasty. We finalised the feast by trying all their desserts and what a highlight and perfect end of a lovely evening. Don’t miss this great place.

Absolutely brilliant —- Tamil Table never ceases to impress with the deliverance of the most authentic South Indian flavours that seep into the preparations from recipes to presentation. The menu is not very elaborate which is good because one can focus on the good stuff. The cocktails are beautiful and well made. Coming to the food, everything is bang on! Highly recommend Paniyaram Aubergine Curry Mutton & Ashgourd Curry Curd Rice Dosa Lemon Cheesecake Chettinad Chicken Prices are decent for the quality of food!

Don’t hesitate thinking that being in Goa you might get good quality South Indian food. Step inside this Goan house which is presented in South Indian style and enjoy the wonderful cocktails and food here. There are plenty of options for vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food lovers. The staff is polite helpful and will assist in ordering the food. Loved the place and would love to come back again for cocktails, mutton chops, Mackrel Vadai & prawns Biryani.

Got a reference from a friend and visited the place for lunch. Food here was too good with wonderful cocktails. Ambiance was also quite nice with both inside and outside seating. The egg Dosa was good and Malabar Paratha was just amazing. The Sula mutton was the best of all we had and a must have. A must visit if you are in north Goa.

The ambience and charm of this place is so unique and comforting. Right from the entrance leading to the outdoor seating, to the indoor seating, the gift shop, the area in front of the kitchen and even the washroom (!), there is a different lingering fragrance you will experience! A modern Tamil vibe blended with typical Tamil food, is the USP. We had the Mackerel Vadai, Kari Patta Prawn, Lemon rice, Chicken chettinad, Coco Loco and Jamun Sherbet mocktails, and a TT Panakam cocktail. I think I’m not the least bit generous in saying that each preparation was better than the last. The tenderness of the Mackerel Vadai was just 🫶🏻. The mango chutney that came with the Kari Patta Prawns was all that I needed in this life 🥲. Though my special love goes to the Coco Loco, which felt nothing short of nectar from the Gods! The staff remained so polite and courteous, and made this experience even better than expected. Although the dishes and drinks are superb in taste and quality, I would highly recommend the owners to increase the portion sizes of the dishes since it may appear disproportionate with the pricing. Hence reserving the one star as far as food goes! 😅 I do understand the importance of maintaining the USP, but niches need to be broadened with time. That’s my opinion. Rest, it was a wonderful experience.
