Visited the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and it has a very distinct creative vibe. The campus feels raw and authentic rather than polished, which actually fits an art school. You’ll see student work everywhere, studios in action, and a lot of experimentation going on. It feels like a place where people are actually making things, not just studying theory. The buildings themselves are pretty simple, nothing fancy, but the energy comes from the students and the work they’re doing. Being right next to major spots like the Museum of Fine Arts is a big advantage too.

Successfully got my BFA in animation, from 2022 to 2026. I've had a really fun time here and learned a lot when it comes to the art making process, social life, and learning to live on my own. Some of the students here are the nicest people on planet earth, and this school fosters a very welcoming community compared to the other art schools in the country. Education was good in some aspects and lacking in others. Certain professors know so much valuable information about their own craft and they inspire students to think about how they want to create art. Ciriculum should've pushed buisness, presentation skills, and branding more-- across ALL majors. I've seen people make this institution their home and improve on themselves, and I've also seen people not improve at all. College is what the student makes out of it.

It's a good school. I studied there for a while. The teachers will convert your comic books into digital versions and teach you many techniques, such as how to format, draw shapes, and add shadows. If you think you like drawing or have a talent for it, I highly recommend studying there. And the food in the cafeteria is pretty good too.

As a college it works, as a place to live and find community y'all stay safe...

Very good, Very informative and answered any and all questions pertaining to transfer from a university to this school. Staff even conferred to director of admission electronically and got back to my granddaughter via telephone. I was impressed with the help they are willing to go to make sure any questions are answered.

Interesting art college, went there for an exhibit called nothing is edible that I saw online. Security guard was extremely rude, sent us to another building where a friendly employee told us the main building we went to was the right place. Went back and the guard confronted us again, asked me why I was signing in as if he wasn’t going to give us entry. Generally acted as if he looked down on us instead of being helpful with information on how to find the exhibit. The exhibit was open to the public, don’t know what his problem was but he needs more interpersonal skills training. The student exhibit was great, we loved it! Def very creative and executed skillfully.

I only walked around outside but being an art college there were a lot of interesting pieces around the building. Go check them out!

There's an AA Meeting there on Saturday Night from 8 to 9:30 pm.

I did the illustration program after getting my AA at community college. It was an amazing experience and totally worth it, with in-state tuition. Amazing professors in the design and illustration departments, the student community is creative and inspiring everyday. I continue to draw and paint and love remember my time at MassArt

I would have loved going there, but as a transfer student my options are limited. I honestly should have known that I would've been fighting an uphill battle the moment I tried to transfer into the Illustration. It's a popular major, and there's no room for someone like me. The people I met there are wonderful and have given me a lot of help, but it's unfortunate that they have no room for me. I only wish I knew sooner.

This is the college I go to and it's incredible everyone is super creative and caring,our teachers are amazing, and we have the best counseling and wellness program where you can always walk in if you need support

Best art education for the money! Try the continuing education classes. Graduate degrees offered as well as teaching certification programs.

Never went to school there, but the facilities and student passion are what made me drop out of engineering school. Definitely on my application list.
