15 Broadway, Ultimo NSW 2007

I’m genuinely grateful to be studying at UTS as a Thai student who now has the opportunity to live and study in Australia. UTS truly values diversity and non-traditional pathways. I didn’t come through a standard ATAR route, but I’ve felt welcomed, supported, and respected for my background and potential. The university looks beyond rigid boxes and genuinely believes that education should be accessible to people from different life paths. The administrative and student support teams work incredibly hard behind the scenes, and it really shows. UTS feels modern, inclusive, and human - a place that opens doors rather than closes them. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and proud to be part of the UTS community.

Actual abysmal university (plus UTS College slander). I previously attended UTS College as I failed Year 11 and 12 in high school. I took foundation studies and was emailed that I had failed this foundation course and ended up enrolling in a Diploma of Science. It was then that I got an offer from UTS for a bachelor of Forensic Science 3 weeks into my Diploma. This lead me having to withdraw from the UTS College diploma, and as I only spent 3 weeks in the diploma, I expected to get the money back for the MONTHS that I was withdrawing from and NOT doing. My father had to come to the office and talk to them directly, to which UTS College said they had "no idea" that I got an offer from UTS and that they actually don't talk to UTS at ALL. They eventually gave some of the money back. How are you going to be a PATHWAY to UTS and not even TALK to UTS about things? Anyways, moving on. After all that, I was excited to join UTS for the degree I wanted to do. I did rather horribly in my first year and ended up trying to get support; I had a zoom meeting with my academic advisor which we talked about the plan moving forward and then I also went to UTS Counselling which, may I say, was the worst counselling experience I have EVER had. I left feeling even worse than I did before. The counsellor I had was absolutely no help whatsoever. Despite this, my scholarship is now maybe being terminated. I am currently trying to get an appeal, mentioning my diagnosed mental health and the support I have tried to get. However, all the Student Centre tells you is to fill an application in response to the application that was sent with the forms, making it USELESS to talk to them. I asked for an email as I couldn't find someone on the webpage which THEY directed me to and they simply emailed me back with no email, telling me to do as they said before. Absolutely useless. No help. I haven't had any bad experiences with teachers, however this is all absolutely horrible and is genuinely making me think about applying to other universities. It actually baffles me how UTS has a good reputation. Oh, I also checked the academic transcript of my GPA in UTS College for foundation studies. I passed with a 6.6 GPA. I was told I failed for no reason at all when I didn't even fail.

Universities seem to have completely lost sight of their students, the very people they’re meant to support. A young woman makes the huge, life-changing decision to move away from home, relocate to the city, rent her first apartment, and begin her university journey.. alone. After all that, this university couldn’t even confirm her core subject. After repeated chasing, she was finally told just 12 hours before classes began that the core subject she was excited and enrolled for was full. Instead, she was pushed into a far less appealing alternative alongside returning students from previous years. So her “first day” isn’t a fresh start at all… it was walking into established groups, feeling isolated, and already behind. That’s not just poor administration, it’s a deeply discouraging way to begin what should be one of the most exciting chapters of a young person’s life. Universities talk a lot about student experience and wellbeing — but moments like this show the reality doesn’t match the message. Shame on you. That is not how a student’s university journey should begin.

The University of Technology has modern facilities and sufficient student support. Many lounge rooms and tea rooms can be found in the faculty buildings. The Ultimo campus is within walking distance of the Central train station and plenty of shopping and dining options. It's also a short bus ride to the University of Sydney campus. My empirical experience is that the courses of UTS are well and practically designed.

I studied engineering here many years ago and was an excellent experience. Many high quality lecturers, facilities and great structure to the degree. I recently returned for a conference and was blown away with the change in buildings and amenities for staff, students and visitors. If you are in the area it is worth just having a walk around to take in the architecture, public spaces and even some of the food options.

MONEY HUNGRY. Don't do anything design related at UTS. Or anything at all. They don't supply Adobe apps on personal devices. Anything you make is out of your funds. They teach so much useless fluff and do many pointless little activities in class, whilst you pay maximum. It's a soulless corporation with many soulless teachers. The special consideration for assigments is a joke, so hard for no reason. The most unserious misdemeanours can get you into a academic misconduct investigation, even if you're innocent, where they take months to reply while you can't pass the subject. The Design building is so outdated and they shove amenities fees down your throat until you defer them

To put it as respectfully as possible, my experience with Flora Hung-Baeseck has been extremely negative. I strongly advise keeping your distance from her — it will be better for your life and your peace of mind. Any involvement with her could bring unnecessary trouble.

I had a three days meeting in a lecture room at building 11. It was early December and it was quite quiet.

My honest experience as a UTS business student after first semester! I've been inside UNSW, USYD, not studied but visited. I like UTS more for two reasons. I noticed that UTS toilets are always maintained hygienically. Especially Building 2 and 11. I thought it was normal until I stepped into other two unis when visiting my friends, it was so dirty, smells bad, very old toilets that barely functions. UTS also has pretty easy accessible commute. I can't deny how much support I received as a first year, UTS offers HELPS, UPASS. Made for students who struggle with keeping up with study content. tutors basically untangle the hard subjects for you. available weekly. For business, I was very happy that all professors introduced drop in session at the beginning of the semester and It was immense help during the week before final exams. UTS also provides 1 and half to 2 months semester breaks?? I'm in my break right now and I never felt more rested and turns out we have the longer break than USYD and UNSW. Best thing about UTS is our silent reading room in building 2 THANK YOU TO WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THE IDEA when I walk into the quietest room I've ever been in my life, where the footsteps are the loudest thing, I can conquer any tasks. I can tell everyone's focus is at its peak. Even my friends from other unis come here to study. these are some of the more helpful things I found UTS provides - microwaves in almost every building to heat up your food - hot and cold water taps every floor - a lot of vending machine with real quick food - free flu shots for students and emails notifying students ahead. - $5 meal from Terrace Cafe for students that changes every week for students who wants to eat healthy but is financially struggling. - science and math drop in classroom for anyone who needs more help. - clear orientation day that tells you everything you need ( highly recommended attending it) - professors follow up promptly with your email regarding your concerns. - AI invigilated exams was a breeze to do at home, professors told us step by step and even what to do when it goes wrong. - big campus but with every corner, chairs and desks to study that you can pretty much meet anywhere than library - more than 100 group and individual booking rooms that you can easily book to study with your friends with noise canceling walls easy to find classes once you know your way around, professors are generally teach in a way to create engagement in class, SMART, FRIENDLY fellow classmates who actually helps you and is motivated to do well so you end up doing the work. ( If you choose them wisely, but they are always somewhere) I recommend studying Business or any course in UTS confidently to anyone who is interested! I've done half of my core but subjects are very practical, onboard and relevant. You will get the love the clean, supportive and pretty place you study in. I started with no expectation after so much research day and night and Im so impressed that I get to go here. The only downside of UTS has to be late night classes(7pm to 9pm) but thats only if you miss the timetable deadline. UTS IS A UNIVERSITY THAT IF YOU SEEK FOR HELP, THEY WILL PROVIDE MORE THAN ENOUGH OF WHAT YOU NEED ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS ASK. I love being a UTS student.

Worst university specifically their "special consideration" facility scam for assignment and attendance. Which u need to submit like 4 days prior it doesn't matter how ever serious or genuine reason you got if you submit it post deadline they won't even look at it. N surprisingly they have a "mental health n trauma" category ... apparently it doesn't matter and they think students can think about assignments and predict the time they can get better n submit the assignment if the students is going through some trauma or depression not understanding the basic psychology that a person won't be able to think about assignments at that point. What special consideration it is if you aren't going to exclude certain life threatening and serious situations post events ?? Provided all the supporting documents? If you are going to close the case based on time line and not even read the proofs reasons and attachment given ? And no option to appeal as well ??

I was ashamed for the University today. I have a few friends who work there and a few graduates. Amamzing people… today encounter ADAM LG R who claims to work for the University…. He and sis partner came to our store to buy flowers and HE posted a disgusting comment. Absolute lies and the rudest possible behaviour…. It’s embarrassing that people like HIM are alllwed to be involved in ANY education….. his partner was abusing and screaming at stuff to the point when it’s just degrading to consider …. I REALLY hope somebody in the Iniversity a reprimand a TEACHER who bluntly lies .!!! and I really hope people like him won’t be alllwed to teach others those low values.!!!

This university has online and physical classes, and both of them have insane courses that manage to capture you into a whole different world of learning, and the lectures and teachers are amazing. The library has so many books with topics on everything and some great books like introduction to computer science and advanced guides for deepening your knowledge. At night, the building glows green. The facilities are free, and you can rent rooms with three or 4 monitors with high-end graphics and specs included with the tuition. They have unreal engine, blenders, and more to further expand on coding and 3d modelling. It is a wonderful university and it I'd easily a 5/5

Hope you’re anorexic when you’re watching a graduation otherwise you’ll have no room. You’d think these clowns would know what they’re doing by now lol. According to someone speaking: “UTS is performing 50 graduations this year”
