The trainees are only hired after they are well trained .This is the first place in the company I visited in India.Everyone works with dignity, with the idea that every blood bag produced here is for their family members.This impression is very appealing to me.

This factory is the pride of Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram). It is the first blood bag manufacturing Unit in India, set up by former IAS Officer, Mr. C. Balagopal a true visionary entrepreneur. Originally it was started in the mid eighties as Peninsula Polymers Ltd, (Penpol) sourcing the blood bag technology from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), a premier Medical Research Institution in Thiruvananthapuram run by Government of India. In the nineties, Penpol was taken over by the Japanese giant, Terumo, who were market leaders in blood bags and was renamed as Terumo Penpol Ltd. Today, this Unit caters to the demand for blood bags from within India and outside. They follow the best industry practices and have earned a name for themselves in the global market. One of the few success stories from Trivandrum in manufacturing sector.

It is very good factory in kerala. They are converting the used water into good water and sprinkled to the earth. This shows the attitude towards the earth and the society.

Worst experience on a phone call with tender department. Not even have the patience to listen to the call of what we are trying to explain. Please trying changing the staff from the department.
