We had an outstanding stay. The whole team was genuinely amazing - warm, professional, and consistently kind. Breakfast was excellent and set a great tone for the day. The reception team in particular were fantastic: attentive, responsive, and always ready with smart suggestions that matched what we were looking for. Their activity recommendations were a highlight. They arranged experiences we wouldn’t have found on our own, including creating our own perfume, which was memorable and beautifully organised. The guide they suggested was also excellent - knowledgeable, punctual, and made everything easy. Finally, the welcome presents were a very kind touch and made us feel truly looked after. Thank you to the whole team for such a special stay - we will absolutely return and recommend you to all our friends.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options each morning. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was also excellent and very convenient for getting around the city. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Experience. Excellent and very well located hotel ! Service was outstanding, special thanks to Omer and Mehmet from the front desk who provided great support during our stay. Special note also to the Hotel doormen, who were very kind and helpful with our luggage and to get the transfers. This is a true boutique hotel that provides us with a strong home feeling in Istanbul.

We are two male travelers of which one traveler booked two separate reservations back to back using Chase Elite card benefits. Upon check in the manager was quick to focus on the fact that the $100 hotel credits to be used would only be allowed for a one time use. We were aware of this restriction on the benefit when booking the room, so totally understood the restriction. Manager stated we had a room upgrade however was not offered two beds for two male travelers, room was small with a queen size bed and a view of an old abandoned building. Decided to use the $100 credit at the hotel restaurant prices were extremely high in comparison to other restaurants in the area. When ordering our beer we were told that they would have to go get the beer from the roof top bar, staff seemed less than thrilled to provide these beers, however they did deliver. Upon ordering a 2nd beer we were told they had no more and would need to order something else. When the food arrived we had no forks and had to get up locate a staff member to bring us a fork. No follow up on how our food was just left to eat and close our tab. This was not worth the $138 spend on an upscale dining experience. Upon check out a different manager insisted we pay our incidentals with the card on file. When asked about paying in cash Turkish Lira he responded with no must go in the card used at time of booking, then he questioned the card that was used said it was not a chase credit card which indeed it was. When reviewing our statement he only focused on the amount due and the 2nd credit was not applied to our final bill, which we already knew. Was never asked how our stay was there was no level of customer experience one would expect in a 5 star hotel. The hotel porters however were very warm welcoming and helpful. Would not recommend this hotel the experience was not reflective of the current star rating.

Booked this hotel through Chase the Edit and it was a great experience. The decor is lovely and sophisticated. It was my first time using the Edit so I was a little nervous about how the benefits would work but as soon as I arrived, the receptionists explained to me all the benefits we could use and had already upgraded our room. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and even noticed that it was my boyfriend’s birthday during our stay. They sent up a free birthday cake free of charge the morning of! 5/5 stars for the amazing hospitality

We stayed here for 2 nights using the Chase Edit benefit, and loved it. The service was so great, with everyone being incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop bar is beautiful. The only thing that didn’t live up to our expectations was the spa experience- we got the clay mask and for the price, it really wasn’t worth it. We used our $100 property credit so it wasn’t paid out of pocket, but I would recommend using it at the restaurant over the spa. Location was absolutely incredible 10/10, so close to everything and easy to get around

Booked through AMEX Hotel Collection Overall, pretty solid hotel for the price. The location is good and easy to get to many places. We were told our benefits because we booked through AMEX Hotel Collection - basically a $100 usd credit, upgrade based on availability, and early/late check out based on availability. We did get an upgrade into a slightly nicer room. The room was clean and overall nice. We were only granted a 1 hour late check out (we requested 2 hours) which wasn’t ideal for us, but they held our bags. We used our credit for drinks and breakfast; drinks were very pricey and they didn’t have the ingredients to make any of their specialty cocktails, which was disappointing. Breakfast was excellent. Overall, a nice stay.

My husband and I spent a week at this hotel at the beginning of April. Positives: - room upgrade from a Deluxe King room to an Execute suite since we booked using the Chase Edit - spacious room with several closets for storage - huge beautiful bathroom with great water pressure - fantastic location with restaurants, cafes, transport, and sites within easy walking distance - very friendly staff - nice breakfast-a little slow on service sometimes, but it was quite busy some mornings - nice touches like chocolate delivery every day -quiet room Negatives: - HARD bed-like sleeping on a concrete slab. The staff was very helpful and provided two duvets to place over the mattress in an attempt to make it softer, however this was unfortunately ineffective. The bed was so hard I woke up with sore ribs/back and made it very hard to sleep. - poor curtain design which leaves light streaming through the windows on the sides - rooftop bar prices are crazy expensive and drinks felt like they had zero alcohol Overall it was a nice stay. I am torn on whether or not I would recommend to friends/family solely due to the absolutely horrendous bed. I'm curious if all the beds were as terrible as ours--if so, I would imagine no one would return.

This hotel checked all the boxes for me! Boutique, charming, personal, quiet, beautifully and stylishly decorated, gorgeous and comfortable rooms, always the perfect music selection in the restaurant (tasteful, not to loud, added to the vibe not distract from it which I think can make or break a dining experience), nice buffet breakfast with a wide variety of both western and Turkish options, helpful receptionists, excellent location. I am very particular and do a lot of research before deciding where to stay and I can say that I was NOT disappointed! Highly, highly recommend if you looking for the above attributes in a hotel. I will definitely be back!

The Bank Hotel is the perfect base for exploring the city. It’s centrally located and close to all the main attractions, making sightseeing a breeze. The Rooms: Stunningly redesigned with high-end touches and incredibly high ceilings that make the space feel grand and airy. The Shower: Easily the best I’ve had. High water pressure and consistently hot—perfect after a long day of walking. If you want a mix of historic charm and modern luxury, stay here!

I can't say that it's "bad", but it's worse than I expected. It's the worst quality hotel that I've booked off of Chase's "Edits" application. The rooms are 4 star quality, the design and historical aspect is cool, the location is perfect, the spa is kinda low quality and the gym is awful. My complaints about the gym: not enough equipment, dusty, and very small. It felt uncomfortable just having 2 people there. Also they're stingy about water. I've never been to a hotel gym that doesn't have free water. They don't give it out more than 2 small half-liter bottles of water, and the man working at the lobby seemed very displeased with me after I asked if I could have a 3rd little bottle. Generally unfriendly guy working there. The breakfast was also pretty mid.. not at all 5-star hotel quality. Also just to reiterate: what kind of 5-star hotel doesn't have free water?

My favorite hotel in Istanbul so far. Top tier location in Karakoy. It is close to the metro and walking distance from restaurants around Galata. It is in a busy area of town but not as hectic as Sultanahmet. We stayed at a hotel in Sultanahmet and The Bank Hotel was 10x better. Great value for price as well. The service is also unmatched - all of the staff were extremely friendly. There is also a small migros across the street to purchase drinks and snacks. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a do It all hotel!

The Bank Hotel Istanbul in Karaköy totally exceeded our expectations — it’s one of the most memorable stays we’ve had in the city. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the perfect blend of historic charm and modern design in every corner of the property. The rooms are elegant and thoughtfully styled, with luxe touches that make you feel genuinely pampered. The location is fantastic for exploring Istanbul — you’re right in the vibrant Karaköy district with easy access to great cafes, galleries, and the ferry to the old city — and the views from the rooftop are truly unforgettable. Whether sipping a cocktail at the roof bar or enjoying dinner with a skyline vista, it’s hard not to fall in love with the setting. Add in superb dining options, a relaxing spa with a Turkish hammam, and thoughtful amenities throughout the hotel, and you’ve got a place that feels both intimate and luxurious. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a chic, comfortable, and unforgettable stay in Istanbul.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bank Hotel Istanbul and would highly recommend it. We booked two rooms for two nights through Chase The Edit, and the experience exceeded our expectations. We were given two lovely adjacent terrace rooms connected by a shared private hallway, which was incredibly convenient for our family of four. The setup offered both privacy and ease, making our stay very comfortable. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts waiting for us in the rooms upon arrival. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to use the $100 hotel credit at the hotel spa. We enjoyed a relaxing massage and tried the Turkish bath for the first time—an unforgettable and authentic experience. The location of the hotel is another big plus. It’s perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the city and access many of Istanbul’s attractions.

The perfect hotel in Istanbul and the perfect experience. We enjoyed it so much we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on future Istanbul trips. Everything — the check in experience, the rooms, the breakfast, the spa and hammam, and the degree of helpfulness and kindness we received from the team — set this hotel apart. The Turkish breakfast in particular was lovely and high quality — I’d had some restaurants on my list but the hotel’s offering was so good there was simply no need to go elsewhere. If you are thinking about booking — do it! Thank you sincerely to the whole team for such a good experience.

This hotel is very deserving of its 5 star rating. The staff is super attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel couldn't really be any better for getting around Istanbul and seeing the signts. The hotel itself is beautiful and meticulously clean. The rooms are beautiful and classy. The breakfast is very good, a little limited but you can order eggs and other things from the staff. I have very little criticisms - 1. The beds are very hard. They definitely need to put a pillow topper on them, because basically you are just sleeping on straight up mattress.. after a couple of nights my back was hurting and I have slept on the floor in Japan for a month and never had back issues..😅 2. They have a beautiful rooftop terrace you can enjoy the amazing view. However they stop serving tea and coffee after 5pm. While I understand that there are probably legit logistical reasons for such a rule, as a non alcohol drinking person I just wanted to have some turkish tea with my dessert and view 🥲.. Those are the only things that I didn't care for. Regardless of these small nitpicks I would 1000% recommend this hotel and stay here again!

Only stay here for location. The rooms are so small. Two people with two carry ons and not enough room to put stuff out. The location is the only thing this has going for it. I think the reviews are truly based on where the hotel is and not the hotel itself. Funny. You can’t reply to the business replay, having said that. You talk about a classic room. Yet I booked through chase travel with comp upgrades and you told me you were sold out. It was for one night. So apparently that was a lie. Like I said in the end. This hotel is good for location. I agree. But that’s where it stops. No one will book a hotel for the “history” of the building.

I stayed at the Bank Hotel 7-11 January. It was fabulous! The hotel is beautiful, and I love the marble floors and vaulted ceilings - I can feel how it was like back when it was a bank. Special thank you Sahar for organising the Dolma making session. I had so much fun! But all the staff at hotel were excellent and so very helpful.
