The café is stylish, calm, and a perfect escape from the busy Checkpoint Charlie area. The pastry selection is excellent as well. A must-visit for anyone who truly appreciates specialty coffee.

One of the most lovely cafe experiences we’ve had… friendly welcome, beautiful coffee and a surprise Sunday morning cupping taster-session which brought a way-too-rare sense of community to a disparate group of coffee drinkers. Thank you to the baristas Santiago and Marco for a lovely welcome!

Der Stil des Cafes gefällt mir mega gut. Entspannte Musik. Klarer Fokus auf Kaffee. Ein Punkt Abzug für den m.E. etwas zu teuren Handfilter-Kaffee (6,-€) und die sehr abgenutze Glaskanne in der mir der Kaffee dann serviert wurde. Mirarbeiter war sehr freundlich und hat uns bzgl. den Kaffeesorten gut beraten.

Best coffee we have experienced whilst travelling in Europe. We are from Melbourne, Australia (we love our local coffee culture), and struggled to find decent coffee whilst travelling throughout Europe over the last 3 weeks. The coffee here was strong, flavoursome and made correctly. Good food choices for breakfast or a quick snack also. A credit to Marco and Zoe! Highly recommend!

The Barn is a lovely spot — bright, airy, and perfect for getting work done or holding a meeting. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made settling in easy. My only breakfast gripe: I was hoping for freshly squeezed juice but they only had bottled/soda-style juice options, which felt a bit off for a morning visit. Used to remember more pastry choices on previous trips, but maybe I arrived late and they’d sold out. All in all, a reliable place to focus and recharge.

A truly lovely specialty café. The coffee is excellent (properly dialed-in and served with care), the space is cozy, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious. One of those places you’re happy to discover.

My taste palate changed after covid & coffee was tasting like cigarette water to me. Life was becoming grey, I thought I'd have to stop drinking my once favourite beverage. I shared my experience with Sara the barista & she recommended the aneorobic bean from Ethiopia "Shantawene". I had the feeling like she saved my life. Thank you, Sara.

Ganz exklusiv, umweltfreundlich, nachhaltig gebaut, irgendwie erscheint alles aus Holz und nicht lackiert. Sehr geräumig, es gibt viele verschiedene Kaffeesorten, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Man kann sich an einen Tisch setzen und am Notebook arbeiten. Es gibt auch eine große Terrasse weit hinten. Ist direkt am U-Bahn Ausgang Kochstraße gelegen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

I visited The Barn Café while I was in Berlin and I can’t recommend it enough. Everything about the experience was wonderful: the food, the atmosphere, and the care put into every detail. A special thank you to Sara, who kindly attended us and truly made the visit memorable. Her service was warm, genuine, and so personable – the kind that makes you feel instantly welcome rather than just served. Being there felt like a cup of hot chocolate for the soul: comforting, grounding, and exactly what you didn’t know you needed , and you bet - I enjoyed every sip of their hot chocolate. But the Barn Café truly won my heart and my loyalty when I saw that their menu offers Carrot Cake. Enough said. Indeed – a beautiful place with great energy and even better people. I’ll definitely be back.

Where else to grab a coffee in Berlin than at one of the best spots? We went for breakfast too, and everything was just perfect — panini, pastel de nata, and two amazing V60s brewed by the friendly and knowledgeable barista Marco. Thank you!

First time at the barn at checkpoint charlie, the staff (zoe & marko) gave me the best „the barn“ experience so far in Berlin. Normally tbh I skip all the barn places as its way to crowded and not really personal…today was different, marko was super friendly and kept an Eye on my bike, zoe gave me great coffee advise (i‘m a real coffee nerd) as I was looking for a more fruity espresso (bought the mohamed ali at the end). Just a perfect barista team which is not normal in moody Berlin…da können glaube ich viele ein Lied von singen:) will definitely come back! Keep going guys..

Ein absolut fantastisches Café mit hervorragendem Kaffee! Die Atmosphäre ist sehr einladend und gemütlich, perfekt zum Entspannen oder für ein Treffen mit Freunden. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Qualität des Kaffees ist ausgezeichnet - man merkt, dass hier mit viel Leidenschaft und Fachwissen gearbeitet wird. Die Lage in der Nähe des Checkpoint Charlie ist auch sehr praktisch. Ich kann dieses Café jedem Kaffeeliebhaber wärmstens empfehlen!

브루잉 커피 아주 좋았던 곳. 한가지 아쉬움은 공간에 음악이 안 어울렸어요. 볼륨도 크고 차분히 이야기 나누는 분위기에 맞는 무드로 선곡하셨음 하는 아쉬움. 커피가 좋았어서 또 가고싶습니다.

The largest of all the Barn locations - and possibly the only location where you can purchase their 1kg test roast bags? We have been big fans of The Barn for years, so it was only natural that it would be our first cafe visit on our recent trip to Berlin. A delicious pour-over, and we may have gone a little overboard with the number of bags of beans we purchased! Always a good experience.

👍Super Kaffee und sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Service. Also über diesen heutzutage modernen still lässt sich streiten, aber ich komme ja schließlich wegen dem Kaffee ☕️. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Delicious coffee and cool coffee shop vibes. Marko was a delight and was extremely patient with us when we ordered. He suggested I have my cold brew without oat and let me test it to be sure. I'm so glad he did because it was so good without it! It was some of the most complex and tasty cold brews I've ever had.
