I have attended a birthday party there and interior with the service and specially the food, I tried sizzler, fried rice, Manchurian, Paneer Chilli all were must try with Biryani, Naan. I think each and every dish is well curated by the chef as well as the service is faster.

I have been going to Rose since childhood..almost 26 years now I guess.. Used to stay beside the restaurant. I still remember their old decor with old calcutta photos. Visited recently and was pleasantly surprised to see yet another renovation and continental menu as well. I stay in south kolkata now and almost every cafes serve continental and specially the food I ordered. Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce. Well i was blown away. The dish was so delicious that it can give any new southern avenue chic cafes run for their money. With rice and egg and veggies.. It was a complete meal.... They should hire a digital marketing team to appeal to the new crowd. On a negative note.. The ground floor bar needs a major overhaul. Looks like a shady bar. We were told to sit at the bar to have drinks. They didn't serve us upstairs.

It's the good place for dine out in kakurgachi area located near phoolbagan. Best for Chinese cuisine and staff are friendly and supportive.

Went during past Durga Puja Saptami. A bit expensive but their mixed fried rice is honestly one of the best fried rice I've ever had in the entirety of Kolkata and WB.

Honestly, the food quality and taste were really good, but the service experience was very disappointing. 1.The staff didn’t even give us time to look at the menu — they kept standing right in front of us, rushing us to order. 2.While we were eating, all the staff gathered together and stood facing us, which felt very awkward. 3.The moment we were about to finish a dish, they immediately came to clear the plates — it felt like they were in a hurry to get us done. 4.What shocked me most was when they tried to remove the mouth freshener even before I had it.They didn’t even notice that I hadn’t touched it yet and were about to take it away. Only after seeing my expression did they realize and put it back. But honestly, after seeing that, who would still feel like having it? So I simply didn’t take it anymore. 5.There were only three tables occupied at that time, so I really don’t understand why the staff were in such a rush. I would like to suggest one thing to the owner — if the service experience continues like this, guests may hesitate to come again, no matter how good the food tastes. People come for the food, but staff behavior matters equally. Please give your staff some proper training regarding guest service and behavior.

So I ordered a two types of kebabs , I forgot the name , and the kebabs were tasty and 😋 yummy. Then I drank the Virgin blue lagoon which was also tasty. Then I bought a Naan and butter chicken . The Naan was crispy and a little soft . But, the butter chicken was not giving that much butter chicken vibes, yk, so the staffs are very kind . I should recommend everyone to visit that restraunt and taste their food . 😋😋... and the atmosphere is also good . I think everybody should go there.

We went for a Chinese dinner for our anniversary. Nice ambience, wonderful service, delicious food, reasonable price, at least compared to Mainland China :-) . Highly recommended!

The Rose is a legendary restaurant now. In new Avatar,its more chic and fabulous! Same delicious food and old hospitality is rocking combination.
