Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is a small but rewarding spot in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district where tiger sightings are surprisingly consistent 🐅 *What sets it apart* It’s compact compared to bigger reserves, yet packs a high tiger population. That’s why locals and guides call it a “no-disappointment” destination - you’ve got a strong chance of seeing tigers like Bakasur and Archie, the sanctuary’s regulars. *Wildlife you’ll encounter* Tigers thrive here thanks to abundant prey and birds: - *Deer & Antelope*: Spotted deer, sambar, nilgai - *Primates*: Langurs - *Birds*: Kites, parrots - *Other mammals*: Sloth bears, though they’re elusive The dry deciduous terrain keeps the foliage open, so views are clearer and safaris feel personal even on a short ride.

Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is not a very big sanctuary area wise therefore tiger sighting happens here more often than not … but again it depends on your luck. It is about 350 Kms from Hyderabad and 160 Kms from Nagpur. There are many resorts around the sanctuary available at every price range. There are Three gates to the sanctuary…the most busy gate is the Sunna Gate around which are most of the resorts. The other gates are Mathani & Kodori where there is less movement of visitors as compared to Sunna. It is always advised to book your safari online before you go coz there are not many chances of your RAC booking getting confirmed. If lucky you can see tigers, leopards, sloth bears, types of deers and a variety of birds. The guides and drives of the Safari and very helpful and always give it their best to see to it that you get your moneys worth.

No tiger sightings were reported. The forest appears arid, with limited wildlife observations, primarily deer and peacocks. Safari drivers and guides promoted the area by claiming recent tiger sightings. I would suggest considering alternative tiger reserves. My stay at the resort for the safari and tiger viewing lasted one day.

Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary was recommended by a family friend Mrs Nyla Noor.. we went there on 14th and 15th Dec. Stayed at ‘Tiger Tales’ a small resort on the Highway near Sunna. Took two Safaries.. 14th evening was a bit disappointing as we narrowly missed sighting of Veer- the only male adult. The Gypsy ride was though thrilling. The next morning Safari we were at the gate half a before the gates opened @ 6AM.. first vehicle to enter with Sahil, the guide referred by Mrs Noor.. A professional guy equally anxious to make us happy to overcome the previous day’s disappointment.. After a lot of waiting, following Pug marks and tracking we were so lucky to encounter the Four mark and her 9 month old Cub…just out of the world feeling..just 5 to 6 feet close… myself and my wife were so enthralled sighting this.. a Memorable experience for ever.. Looking forward to being there again..Thank Mrs Noor and Sahil and Aijinder, the owner of Tiger Tales- who made our stay so comfortable and lovely food and the well mannered staff there..

It's good to walk around once. Book morning safari. There are 17 tigers with different ages and many other birds and animals. Local Resorts available for accommodation outside the sanctuary.

Beautiful Tiger reserve just outside the Northern Border of Telangana. Tiger reserve is bit small around 150 sq kms but Tiger density is high. Tiger reserve falls in Maharashtra but provides easy access from.Adilabad in TG and Pandharkavda in MH

Insta handle - fascinatedlensman (only for wildlifer's) Tipeshwar Wild Life Sanctuary What a forest !!! I love it. Soon to be declared as Tiger Reserve (sources) Beautiful habitats, Tiger sighting chances are more due to compact landscape. Wildlifer's Paradise for sure, given some of my photos to get a clue. Everyone can visit, Highly Recommended from my side. For safary contact to my insta handle.

After travelling 400 kms from Hyderabad to tipeshwar to sight a tiger in monsoon is completely luck. I’ve taken 3 safaris back to back but couldn’t sight one unfortunately. I’ve prefer going in summer next time.

Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary exceeded all expectations! We did 4 safaris and were lucky to spot tigers in 3 of them. The highlight of our trip was the third evening safari, where we witnessed three tigers together—an absolutely breathtaking moment! 🐅🔥 Apart from the thrilling tiger encounters, the sanctuary is home to some beautiful bird species. We spotted a well-camouflaged nightjar, a majestic serpent eagle, an Oriental Honey Buzzard, and the vibrant Indian Roller among others. The mix of big cats and birdlife made this an unforgettable experience. The forest is lush, diverse, and offers a fantastic safari experience. The guides and drivers were knowledgeable, ensuring a great wildlife experience. Highly recommend Tipeshwar for any wildlife enthusiast! Overall an amazing park

A small tiger sanctuary with high density. It's almost impossible to visit for a few days and miss seeing a tiger. We saw 2 in our first day and 3 on our second, in a 2 day stay! The guides were very helpful and friendly. Finding accomodation nearby is also not difficult. We saw a number of large monitor lizards as well. It's small and beautiful, a perfect place for new wildlife enthusiasts to begin their explorations. We went in summer, when the animals come out of the dense tickets to strategically placed waterholes.

A bird sanctuary has become a tiger reserve now protecting the landscape. A relatively small wls of 150 sq kms with about 15 tigers. Although safari starts from 3 gates, they all converge to common areas allowed for tourism. However, the safari vehicles have to follow MP guidelines and avoid speeding when sightings happen.

Beautiful wildlife sanctuary with hilly off-road trails. Best to visit in the dry season for a better chance of spotting tigers, though mostly you’ll see deer, peacocks, and birds. The off-roading through the jungle hills is an amazing experience — must try at least once!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Jungle Safari Experience! We visited Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary on February 12, 2025, for a jungle safari, and it was an amazing experience! 🌿🚙 While we couldn’t spot a tiger this time, we were thrilled to see peacocks, monkeys, nilgai (blue bull), and deer roaming freely in their natural habitat. The peaceful surroundings, and the thrill of searching for wildlife made the safari truly enjoyable. The overall experience was refreshing, adventurous, and perfect for nature lovers! We went for morning sightseeing 6am from mathani gate .we stay at tipai agro tourism also ask them to book our safari for offline.offline charges are more than online. If possible book safari online. All details photo will given please check that. 🔹 Pros: ✅ Scenic jungle views 🍃 ✅ Plenty of wildlife sightings 🦌🦚🐒 ✅ Well-maintained safari trails 🔹 Cons: ❌ No tiger sighting this time (but that’s the thrill of wildlife safaris!) If you love nature and wildlife, Tipeshwar is a must-visit. Hoping to spot a tiger on our next visit! 🐅✨ I have also detailed video about stay and jungle safari posted on my YouTube channel.its name is sneha chi duniya

It’s a good tiger sanctuary tipeshawr National Park: An experience of a lifetime - Explore ...Tadoba National Park is considered one of India's best and largest national parks, renowned for its high tiger population, rich biodiversity, and scenic lakes and grasslands. It offers tiger safaris in open-top gypsies and is home to other wildlife like leopards, sloth bears, and various bird species. The park is divided into different ranges, is open from October 15 to June 30, and is closed on Tuesdays.

Overall quite good place. Less crowd compared to Tadoba and Pench. Guides are good here. Experience wise, Tadoba and Pench was better. We got to see many animals in Tadoba while here we could see hardly any animals. Tiger sighting seems common here, but we were not lucky enough.
