Positives- location is just amazing. Amazing roof top restaurant. Negatives.- 1. Rooms are decent but lacks basic amenities. No soap in washrooms got on the 2nd day. 2. Washroom doors dont have a latch so chances of ur privacy getting disrupted. 3. They have a set top box but no channels coz they haven't recharged it. 4.They dont have there own kitchen they have leased to 3rd party so orders can take ages to come . Overall decent stay if one wants to stay around lake pichola.. but dont expect much on basic room amenities.

With excellent service, stunning architecture, and staff members like Dilip who genuinely care for guests, it is a place I would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

hi, we stayed in this jail room no. 505 for 3 nights, 19th to 22nd. and im very sorry to share my experience of this place. it has very poor amenities, worst hotel rooms ive stayed in last 30 years travel experience. other than a fan, an ac and mini fridge no other amenities in the room. they show deluxe rooms with standard facilities like iron, safe, etc but there wasnothin in the room. not even a lift to reach the floor. instead of wasting on fan fixtures in bathrooms, they could maintain the toilets, which im sorry to say were stinky, stained and no hot water in the room for 3 whole days. repeated enquiries onlu end up in tgey are fixing it. there's no manpower. same person is room boy, night duty and cook at omelet counter in the morning breakfast counter. though food was average, no much variety in 3 days of our stay. i would definitely skip it from my list of hotels in udaipur.

The hotel is well kept heritage haveli. It is beautiful and the location is perfect if you want to live in a lively neighborhood. Everything is nearby, all the cafes, restaurants, city palace and markets. The place itself has a beautiful lakefacing rooftop restaurant with amazing food. They two full size swimming pools which are really aesthetic looking. But, the service at the hotel is slow and the swimming pools were not operational. Also, the breakfast served every morning is below basic.

I recently stayed at this property, hoping for a luxurious and "royal" experience, but it fell incredibly short of expectations. The hotel is nowhere near the standard of luxury it claims to offer. Here were the main issues during my stay: • Unprofessional Staff: From the security guards and housekeeping to the front desk and restaurant team, there is a severe lack of basic hospitality. The staff operates as if providing service is a massive inconvenience. The front desk personnel, in particular, were exceedingly rude and unhelpful. • Poor Maintenance: The property is visibly poorly maintained and desperately needs attention. • Terrible Dining Experience: The restaurant was a major letdown. The food quality was poor, but the service was even worse. We waited over an hour just to receive our food, and then experienced further ridiculous delays simply waiting for plates. If you are looking for a royal or luxurious getaway, this property is a thousand miles away from delivering it. I strongly advise against staying here and will not be recommending it to anyone.

Absolutely disappointed in this place. It looked so beautiful in the pictures and looks good from the outside at night too. The service sucked so bad. They gave us the crappiest room in the corner which had no udaipur vibes. We booked it only cause the pictures showed that the room had a theme with curtains having a design and the bed having a cover, they gave us the corner room which had normal lame curtains with a bad view, it was small too. We saw the other rooms while cleaning and they looked nice so we asked to switch, but they said no, it’s season time. I mean, whose fault is that. Why are you scamming people with false pictures. When the reality is totally different. Other than the service and room, the hotel was pretty. The swimming pool on the terrace was really nice. The room also didn’t have a remote and I called the receptionist 3 times before they sent it, they kept saying they’ll send someone but they never did. I think better customer service is needed. Other than that, it’s a beautiful hotel. And the worse part was we were spending our honeymoon 🥲😭

We stayed in Udai Kothi as a couple, our experience was not so good. The room were okaish compared to the price we payed, no hot shower, ac not functioning well, lighting was poor, for hours there was no light at all in the hotel due to which even the water supply stopped. Breakfast was average. Staff behaviour was okaish, no greet no welcome nothing. Not worth it at all for the given rate, i suggest we can find many more good hotels at this price with great view and great room. Only thing that was good was the exterior and interior of the hotel, which it is hyped for

I recently stayed at Udai Kothi and experienced both the lake view and garden view rooms. While the property itself has a charming aesthetic and a great location, the room experience was quite disappointing and did not match expectations. Lake View Rooms: The biggest letdown here is the so-called “lake view.” It is not a full or clear view of the lake, but rather a partial one. You’ll need to step out or adjust angles to even notice the lake properly. If you're booking this category expecting a scenic, uninterrupted lake-facing experience, you may feel misled. Garden View Rooms: The issues here were more functional and frustrating. The room comes with two AC units, but only one of them actually works. What’s worse is that the reception staff is fully aware of this. Instead of offering a fix or room change, they openly admit that the second AC is just there for namesake and does not function. This kind of response reflects poorly on service standards. Additionally, the shower in the bathroom did not work properly, which added to the inconvenience. Basic amenities like a functioning shower and effective air conditioning should not be an issue at a property of this level. Service & Maintenance: The lack of accountability from the reception staff and the casual attitude toward known issues was disappointing. These are not one-off problems but ongoing ones that the hotel seems unwilling to address. Overall: While Udai Kothi has potential due to its ambiance and location, the room quality and maintenance issues significantly impact the experience. If you’re considering staying here, manage your expectations—especially regarding the lake view rooms—and be prepared for some compromises in comfort.

I recently visited the rooftop at Udai Kothi and it was honestly a highlight of my Udaipur trip. The view from the top is breathtaking—you get a perfect panoramic look at the lake and the city skyline. The food was delicious and authentic, but what impressed me the most was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, amazing food, and a view that stays with you, this is it. Highly recommended!

Excellent all around experience. The breakfast was good, with about 5 attentive staff. We loved a young man named Rajkumar who went out of his way. They gave us fruit to interact with the family of Langur monkeys who joined for breakfast one day, what a completely unique experience! The owners care about making improvements and are keen for feedback. This place is unique and spectacular in so many ways. If you expect four seasons you will be disappointed, but with an open mind you will be amazed.

I am extremely disappointed with my visit. The manager’s behavior was completely unprofessional and rude. He has no idea how to talk to guests, and his attitude was very negative from the beginning. Instead of helping or resolving issues, he made the situation worse with his poor behavior. The service was also extremely bad. The staff seemed careless and untrained, and there was no proper coordination at all. Requests were ignored, responses were very slow, and there was no sense of hospitality. It felt like guests are not valued here. Overall, this place lacks basic customer service, professionalism, and respect for guests. Because of the manager’s bad attitude and the very poor service, my experience was totally ruined. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely not visit again. There are many better places that know how to treat their guests properly.
