V G Chimalgi is probably the best photo equipment store in Hyderabad. The very knowledgeable staff will help you with selecting your camera, lenses, flashes, stands, etc. They are very patient and continue to be so even if you visit them multiple times to understand about cameras. Very centrally located on Road No. 36 Jubilee Hills opposite Chutneys.Has parking int he basement. They have a wide collection and are able to get one if they dont have it usually within a day. They have been in business for over 100 years in Secunderabad. Highly recommend.

It is always a delight to visit this establishment and acquire new camera equipment. The staff provides excellent recommendations, offering reasonably priced, genuine, and high-quality products. I recently purchased the Sony 200-600mm telephoto lens from them.

Bought a Pentax Spotmatic F Film SLR. The person on the counter was very knowledgeable and was very engaging. I spent about an hour and a half to make up my mind but he never complained. Extremely courteous. Although the price was on the higher side for a used camera and lens, it was in pristine condition and all equipment was store with great care

Got my lens cleaned. Reasonable charges and good work Once we give the camera the servicing, they will inspect it first and call us to give the quotation. If we are ok, they go ahead with the servicing. I find this to be a reasonable approach. They also sell all types of cameras and camera accessories. Very close to the metro station. Hence easily accessible

It's a good store where you can buy Cameras or Accessories or lenses and many more products. They give a good discount on the products. If any specific product is needed by the customer and if it's not available, they take an advance payment and try their best to get it as soon as possible!! So far so good!!👍

I recently bought some photography equipment from Chimalgi and I would always rate them a 5 star. Couple of years back also I have purchased photography kit for my son. They definitely come across as thorough professionals and offer excellent pre purchase service. Their pricing is competitive too. End of the day they also need to make money. On my recent purchase, I would like to thank Mr. Yousuf for his outstanding service. I am also not a great fan of credit card charges but if you benefit by the best lower price, you can take it. No photography store stocks all equipments in the store. Someone commented on this. You place order and you will get to. I would highly recommend Chimalgi for your photography needs in Hyderabad.

I had been the shop today for a lens that needed to be serviced. Although id id not buy it from there they were very helpful in guiding me in the next course of action. If they wanted they could have took the lens from me and charged 6k for servicing it but they gave a me options weighing out the pros and cons. They seem to have a very good grip on what they sell.

I've heard of this shop from a friend who is a very frequent customer there. Was planning to visit and this finally happened this weekend. Overall a very positive experience. I bought cleaning kit, ND filter, adapters and a very decent tripod. Sure the prices were were high compared to online but you can check the product before buying. For me that's an advantage specially when you're trying 3rd party accessories for your expensive glass and camera gear. And I'll be visiting them again today to buy a prime(used). I can always go back to them in case I face any issues with products i bought from them. :)

Love their service and approachable attitude. Not a lot of stock in store but if you specify what you want Sethu sir will get it for you. Everyone in the store is friendly and understands customer service and experience. And it is clear they are knowledgeable about photography and camera gear - provided you ask the right questions.

I visited Jubilee Hills store with a Canon lens issue after hearing wonderful things from multiple sources about the store & staff. But I must say that my initial experience was not good. The deadline committed to me for sharing the quote of fixing the lens was not just missed once but thrice. This was clearly a turn off and not what I had expected from them after hearing good things about their work ethic. Just then Mr. Sethu got involved and took matters in his own hands. He apologized for the inconvenience caused and ensured that things get sorted as soon as possible. As a kind gesture, they didn't even take any charge from me for the fix required in the lens. I must say that I found V. Chimalgi store not just preaching about customer service but also actually practicing it. Great going Chimalgi team & Mr. Sethu, your help and concern towards making customer happy is highly appreciated!!

Certainly a first hand experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff. they certainly know what they are doing and THEY ARE THE BEST AT IT.. and Mr. sethuram handles his customers with cool and calm and super supportive.. Overall: definitely i would recommend the store to buy all your camera needs with reasonable pricing.

Visited recently, well managed store, staff were well behaved and managed, they have large variety of products in their store, You Name it they will provide you with. Best in Hyderabad I would say. Must Visit and request for the fair price, I'm Sure they will provide you with fair Quote.

This is located in Jubilee Hills. I liked this shop the customer service is damn good. I bought a tripod stand of a good quality at a reasonable price.

They're the best in sevice and ethics. My office colleague sold his Canon 200D camera which was just 3 months old to them and exchanged an 80D paying the remaining amount. I spoke to my colleague that he could have sold it to me at that price. He then called the store and the store owner politely accepted to sell it to me at the same price. He didn't charge any excess nor did he say that it's sold. I went and collected from them at the night after my office. Thank you!! I'll definitely reach out to your store for my lens upgradation soon. :)
