Ah, my alma mater. One of the oldest and most prestigious tertiary institutions in New Zealand. Feels great to return to VUW for a brief visit. I even bumped into Assoc. Prof. Jonathan Newton when I took a stroll at Kelburn Campus. We struck up a conversation, and he recommended that I should take a look at the university library. Oh my, much has changed ever since I graduated.

Awesome place. Love the walk. The uni is very student centric with dedicated team.

I recommend Victoria University for those who are interested to make a career in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. They have really good courses in this domain. Also, they are offering a good number of scholarships in this category.

Great place my daughter is in year 3 and loves it, and as an added bonus is located in a fantastic city

They have a flawed and unfair PhD admissions process, that is gatekept by rogue professors who will not review your application if they don't know you.

It's a great university in the coolest capital city of the world.

One of the oldest universities beautiful scenery. There are lots of accommodations with catering option. VWUSA has a community kitchen with free bread, milk, canned food,noodles, fruits, and dry goods for students who need. They also give an year planner which is nice. Lectures are recorded so if you miss them you still can listen to them. They have a medical centre and a food court & a library & wellness centre. Sadly lots of courses have been removed. Some lecturers aren't the best for the fees charged.vstudent centre has important free seminars for student support. There's a gym in the premises and

I started my law degree here. The location, campus layout and views were stunning. The library and gym were absolutely ace 👌 However, particularly in the law faculty, nobody was particularly likeable. The staff were an absolute displeasure to be associated with. The law lectures were absolutely pretentious. It felt like the whole faculty took itself far too seriously. The student culture too was painfully “woke”. There was some liberal, feminist magazine which I remember placing in the bin at any chance I got. I’m not finishing my degree at a different university; the difference is night and day. Amazing, friendly staff. A truly non-toxic environment. Something that Vic should strive for.

It's a great modern university with roots in tradition. It's good to see a healthy balance between what's done on technology and what's happening in real life. Great atmosphere and offering some great courses.

I began studying Linguistics and Japanese here in 2016, but had to leave at the end of my first year due to family circumstances. The time I spent at this university was short but I learned a lot of interesting things and made some great memories. I spent many an afternoon in the LLC browsing through the Japanese books or just working on assignments. My main complaint is the cafeteria food; it wasn't bad (in my opinion, at least) but it was extremely overpriced.
