I was worried over the mixed or more negative results but decided to go there on a weekend and I’m really glad I did. First of all it has enough parking for 20-30 cars and many bikes.road side parking also there for the worse case. Staff is friendly. You can book online via bookmyshow or buy at the counter. Pop corn 300 , drinks starting from 100. I’d recommend last rows than the front ones. You can sit back and relax but not stretching seats. But you can spend 2 hours easily with no pain. Sounds and videos are great (not sure if there are 3d movies though) If you not chasing the premium movie experience but looking for a more affordable and a descent movie experience near kaduwela, this is totally worth. Seats were clean, properly maintained as well. Tickets 450 ODC, box 600

Watched මෝඩ තරිඳු on 2026.01.02. ODC normal full : 450/- fair price👌 Also I bought water bottle which I very much expected to be over priced, but surprisingly, it is charged at 70/- ! Wow. And theatre experience is quiet satisfactory for that price. Specially appreciate the fact that this theatre DO NOT have annoying lights at sides of the screen. Even though there are lights, theater goes full dark during the movie, allowing the audience to get immersed in the movie. (In contrast, Scope Kiribathgoda have those bright green EXIT signs lit at sides of the screen throughout the movie, which are very annoying).

This is an "OK" type cinema and can be improved. Facilities are good, even the washrooms were clean. Chairs are not that great and need maintenance. Food options are limited in the canteen. Ticket prices are great and that is somewhat the lowest prices you can seek in Colombo for a Cinema. The Cinema consist of Dolby 7.1 which is superb and sounds are perfect. Image quality is not that good. It even has 3D movies but I haven't watch any. Overall I recommend this place for a good movie time with family, friends or even by yourself. 😁

The movie was supposed to start at 10:00 PM, but it didn’t begin until 10:48 PM almost an hour late. And unfortunately, this isn’t the first time. Poor time management seems to be a regular problem at this film hall. People plan their evenings around the showtime, so delays like this are extremely frustrating and show a lack of respect for customers’ time. What made it worse was that there were no proper announcements or explanations about the delay. On top of that, there were not enough seats in the waiting area. Many customers had to stand for nearly an hour, which made the whole situation even more uncomfortable. I do appreciate that water bottle and soft drink prices are reasonable, but that alone doesn’t make up for such bad scheduling and management. Management really needs to take this seriously and improve their time management. Until then, I can’t recommend this place.

I had the pleasure of visiting the newly renovated 'Vijayanthi by Light Cinemas' today (21st December) on its reopening day under new management. The transformation from the old movie hall is remarkable, offering an upgraded experience that rivals larger cinemas. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful.. The surround sound system and image quality are excellent, providing an immersive movie-watching experience. I also appreciated the comfortable seating and reasonably priced snacks, which add to the overall value. While the interior and exterior have seen significant improvements, there is still some room for enhancement. The car park accommodates around 15 vehicles, but the parking slots could benefit from proper markings and better arrangement. Additionally, the theater now supports 3D movies, which is a fantastic feature for the area. This upgraded cinema offers locals the opportunity to enjoy high-quality films without needing to travel far. Overall, I highly recommend Vijayanthi by Light Cinemas for an enjoyable movie experience. It’s a great addition to the community, and I look forward to visiting again!

Good experience actually. It's funny that I previously would travel to Malabe to watch movies. (Found out that this was renovated recently)This is good. Not crowded at all. Movies come & go soon. And more focused on local movies. Ticket price is super reasonable too. Sound wise It had the same feeling like Liberty by Scope. And screen Is big enough too. Food prices are also kinda shape too.

This is a great place to watch movies, with very reasonable ticket prices. There’s also a dedicated shop for popcorn and drinks, which are affordably priced. Online ticket booking is available, making it convenient. The cinema hall has a good atmosphere, excellent sound quality, and ample parking. Overall, a fantastic spot for a movie experience

I recently visited Lite Cinema 3D (Vijayanthi) - Kaduwela to watch the movie Neera, and I was genuinely impressed with the entire experience. One of the standout aspects was the crowd management and queue handling. Everything was smooth, organized, and well-coordinated, which made entry and seating completely hassle-free. The staff clearly knew what they were doing, and it made a big difference in the overall comfort of the visit. A special mention must go to the lady manager who was present during the show. She managed the operations with remarkable professionalism and calmness. Her presence and leadership were clearly felt, as she ensured that everything—from ticketing to crowd control—was handled efficiently and respectfully. The cinema itself was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service overall was excellent. I had a great experience at Lite Cinema 3D (Vijayanthi) and will definitely be coming back for more movies in the future. Highly recommended!

Went for a Sinhala movie last Saturday afternoon and honestly, this was one of the worst theatre experiences I’ve had in a long time. I got a middle row seat, and it was horrible. The seat wouldn’t lock at a proper 90° angle, so I was practically sitting at floor level the whole time. My friend had it even worse… his seat barely had any back support, and he had to struggle for two hours just to stay seated. If you can’t maintain proper facilities, at least don’t open the hall to the public. It’s completely unacceptable. The G and H rows are a nightmare avoid them at all costs! Rs. 400+ for this kind of pain? Not worth even a fraction of it. Absolutely disappointed! 👎

Loved the experiance, ticket prices are reasonable and economical. Good service had provided. Foods are at normal price range as well. Nice & clean place if you are looking for a budget 3d movie experiance.

Had my first experience at this film hall and it was quite disappointing. The movie didn’t start on time, and there was no staff available to guide or provide updates — everyone had to find details on their own. The parking was a total mess due to the delay, as both the car park and roadside were packed with people waiting and new arrivals struggling to find space. Some seats are bent forward and uncomfortable, which was surprising for a place that’s said to be recently renovated — doesn’t look well maintained. The screen and sound quality are just average. Hope they improve the management and maintenance soon.

Old cinema given a facelift. Comfortable air conditioning. Excellent projection and 7.1 sound system. Good seats but very poor leg space. Plenty of parking space. Ticket prices a bargain.

Outstanding comeback from lite cinema. They have done a great refurbish to this film Hall. All most house full and satisfied with the standards

I have been there with my two kids to watch Jurassic park rebirth. As per the screening time schedule it's mentioned 1500hrs. But it won't started on time. Everybody waited outside till 1540hrs With kids. And no enough parking. Bad experience.

Had a good 3D cinema experience❤ Ticket prices are reasonable and had to pay an additional Rs. 100 for 3D glasses. There are clean toilets for women. Ticket price for an adult is Rs. 450. Box ticket price is Rs. 1200. There is a snack shop with a collection of snacks including popcorn.

The movie show time is 10pm now it’s almost 11pm but the movie still didn’t start we couldn’t even get into the movie hall and there’s a line asw I don’t recommend this place at all.

Impressive upgrades at Vijayanthi Lite, but poor etiquette ruined the experience. The revamped cinema looks great — modern seating and improved ambiance. Unfortunately, the screening of Jurassic World in 3D was marred by disruptive behavior. A nearby child shouted, kicked seats, flashed lights, and made it hard to concentrate. Parents didn’t intervene, and staff walked in mid-show with torches, disturbing others. The venue deserves praise for its improvements, but guests won’t enjoy them unless basic viewing etiquette is respected. Management should enforce better standards to match the new setting.
