A truly stunning and historic place in London. The Palace of Westminster has beautiful architecture and an amazing atmosphere. Walking around the area feels very special, especially with the view of the River Thames and Big Ben nearby. A must-see landmark for anyone visiting London!

Der Palace of Westminster ist unglaublich beeindruckend und eines der bekanntesten Wahrzeichen Londons. Die Architektur ist wunderschön und wirkt sowohl tagsüber als auch am Abend sehr majestätisch. Besonders der Blick auf Big Ben und die Themse ist absolut sehenswert. Die Gegend rundherum eignet sich perfekt für einen Spaziergang und man kann viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall – egal ob man sich für Geschichte, Politik oder einfach nur für die besondere Atmosphäre Londons interessiert.

Very interesting Audio tour at Houses of Parliment. Lots of history well worth the visit. Sad that you are not allowed photos only in main hall and St. STEPHEN'S Hall. They say 90 mins but we were there 2 hours.

Ce bâtiment architectural d'époque est impressionnant 😳 et est incontournable à voir à Londres. Cependant vu la popularité du site et de sa célèbre tour où est habité Big Ben, les photos 🤳 ne sont pas si Simple à réaliser sur le pont. Je vous conseil de prendre du recule et de l' Observer sur la rive d'en face le long du mur 🧱 mémorial 🪦 du covid-19 🦠 ❤️ (qui reste impressionnant à observer également). Ce bâtiment est en cours de restauration.

British Parliament - House of commons and house of lords are both in this building. I visited this place last month. This spot looks very nice beside big bang. Outside and inside both infrastructures are very nicely built & designed. Again I have to go to this palace for a summit. Planning for next month to visit British Parliament...

Monumento de obligada visita si vas a Londres, espectacular. Muy recomendable porque gracias a la audioguía te enteras de cosas bastante curiosas. No me gustó que apenas hubiera donde sentarse ya que algunas salas tienen explicaciones muy largas y se echa en falta poder descansar. Otra cosa negativa es que como en todas las atracciones de Londres, las explicaciones están en inglés como único idioma en el mundo, en fin, aún así merece mucho la pena verlo.

What a great place to learn about British history and political decisions. Really enjoyed the audio guided tour and provided details. Also great to enter the rooms and halls were British politics is made and laws are passed. Great staff as well helping to explain and support.

The combination of the river, the bridge, the clock tower, and the historic building creates a picture-perfect view. It is one of the best places in London to take photos and videos. I visited during a beautiful time of the day, and the lighting made the view even more special. The reflection on the river and the peaceful surroundings gave a very nice experience. Even though many tourists visit this place, the atmosphere still feels enjoyable and exciting. It is a perfect location for families, travellers, photographers, and anyone who loves history and architecture. The area around the Palace of Westminster is also very convenient. You can easily walk around and enjoy nearby attractions like Westminster Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye, and the River Thames. It is a great place to spend time, relax, and enjoy the beauty of central London. The location is well connected and easy to reach, which makes it a must-visit place for anyone coming to London. What I liked most was the feeling of standing in front of such a world-famous landmark. It gives a proud and unforgettable travel memory. Una delle più belle attrazioni da vedere a Londra. Imperdibile per chi ama storia, architettura e istituzioni. Consigliatissimo!

Magnifique endroit ! La visite est génial a faire, nous visitons des endroits du parlement ou nous avons moins accès en temps normal, la visite permet de comprendre comment fonctionne le gouvernement en Angleterre 😁 Il faut absolument le faire, c'est vraiment magnifique 😍

Chargé d'histoire. J'ai eu de la chance de le visiter pour le travail avec la responsable de l'entretien et rénovation de ces bâtiments. On est passé à des endroits où le public ne peut pas aller. Je peux vous dire que très très impressionnant, surtout avec les anecdotes qui vont avec. Le tour guidé pour le 'grand public' montre quand même des endroits spectaculaires.

Westminsterský palác, známy aj ako budova britského parlamentu, je jednou z najimpozantnejších stavieb, aké môžete v Londýne vidieť. Pri pohľade na jeho nekonečnú fasádu plnú vežičiek a detailov priamo z brehu Temže si človek naplno uvedomí obrovskú moc a bohatú históriu bývalého britského impéria. Z pohľadu histórie a zaujímavostí: Hoci palác pôsobí, akoby tu v tejto podobe stál od nepamäti, jeho príbeh je plný dramatických zvratov. Tu je niekoľko faktov, ktoré urobia prechádzku okolo neho ešte zaujímavejšou: Znovuzrodenie z popola: Väčšina z toho, čo dnes vidíme, nepochádza zo stredoveku, ale z 19. storočia. Pôvodný stredoveký palác zničil v roku 1834 katastrofálny požiar (spôsobený pálením starých daňových záznamov). Budovu následne prestavali do dnešnej neogotickej podoby úžasní architekti Charles Barry a Augustus Pugin. Preživšia Westminster Hall: Keď sa budete na palác pozerať, spomeňte si, že jeho najstaršia časť – Westminster Hall – má takmer 1000 rokov (postavená v roku 1097) a prežila spomínaný zničujúci požiar. Práve tu sa konali slávne súdne procesy, napríklad s kráľom Karolom I. alebo so Sirom Williamom Wallaceom (hrdinom filmu Statočné srdce). Sprisahanie pušného prachu: Práve pod túto budovu chcel v roku 1605 Guy Fawkes umiestniť sudy s prachom a vyhodiť do vzduchu vtedajšieho kráľa Jakuba I. (Remember, remember the 5th of November). Dodnes platí bizarná tradícia, že pred každým slávnostným otvorením parlamentu kráľovská stráž s lampášmi symbolicky prehľadáva pivnice paláca, či tam nie sú výbušniny. Dve farby moci: Aj keď dovnútra možno nejdete, je dobré vedieť, že palác je prísne rozdelený na zelenú a červenú zónu. Zelená farba patrí Dolnej snemovni (House of Commons) a červená farba patrí Snemovni lordov (House of Lords). Tento farebný kód je v britskej politike taký silný, že ho používajú dodnes. Praktické tipy na obdivovanie zvonka: Odkiaľ je najlepší výhľad: Pre ten najikonickejší, pohľadnicový záber celej dĺžky paláca sa prejdite cez most Westminster Bridge na druhú stranu rieky (Albert Embankment). Odtiaľto uvidíte, aká je táto budova v skutočnosti obrovská. Z pohľadu rieky: Úžasný spôsob, ako si pozrieť fasádu paláca bez davov turistov, je z paluby vyhliadkovej lode plaviacej sa po Temži (tzv. Thames Clippers / Uber Boat). Victoria Tower: Zatiaľ čo všetci fotia Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) na jednom konci paláca, na jeho opačnom konci stojí ešte vyššia Victoria Tower. Na jej vrchole veje vlajka (Union Jack), no keď je v paláci prítomný panovník, nahradí ju kráľovská štandarda.

Os bilhetes são um pouco caros, porem a visita foi bastante boa Tivemos muita sorte com o nosso guia "Angelo"(creio que era o nome) A visita não se tornou cansativa, nem chato..tornou se um pouco confuso a dado altura devido a junção de 2 grupos que estavam a passar, mas fora isso, nada apontar Super esclarecedora, leve, divertida

Arrive on the District Line into Westminster Tube station and walk up the stairs beneath Portcullis House to street level.

Visitar el Palacio de Westminster es una experiencia impresionante que te transporta a la historia viva de Londres. La arquitectura neogótica es soberbia y está llena de detalles fascinantes que merecen ser observados con calma. Me encantó la fachada lateral donde flamea la Union Jack, pero lo que realmente me cautivó fueron los detalles del mobiliario urbano, como las farolas victorianas adornadas con la corona real. Estos pequeños detalles, junto a la magnitud de sus torres y ventanales, hacen que cada rincón sea una oportunidad para una foto única. Es, sin duda, una de las vistas más emblemáticas y hermosas de todo el Reino Unido que nadie debería perderse.

Reminiscing the place, I last saw Westminster about 18 years ago Nostalgia kicking in guys hence I couldn't write more of my experience. I just want to look at these photos and let my self immersed into tje yesteryear!
