World War II Memorial Park

I love this park and the workers here really try hard to keep it neat and clean. The splash pad is great for kids. It's also a nice walk especially because I have a dog. There are bathrooms that are open in the summer. As well as many picnic tables. There's also a section of exercise equipment and a nice double basketball court.

Beautiful playground and park. All in all was three hours of nonstop fun for my four year old. Two separate playgrounds one for the younger and the other for older children. The splash pad opens at 10am. The only downsides are: 1) there was very little shade (Down the road this won’t be an issue as trees are planted around the playground.) 2)The turf under the playground was soft but was degrading a bit my youngest kept trying to put it in her mouth. 3)And lastly the splash pad is concrete.

Park and splash pad were a great time for my kid. Lots of walking trails, clean restrooms. There appeared to be an ice cream truck in the lot opposite of where I parked on a Friday afternoon. Note: Google said the splash pad was closed the first time we went (Tues morning) so I didn't take swimwear. It was open

This park is a hidden gem! I was thoroughly impressed with the splash pad, the playground, the basketball courts, and the overall layout. The splash pad looks like it could accommodate dozens of children at the same time and has a wide variety of water features. Some of the features are appropriate for toddlers and others are appropriate for older children, so it's perfect for a variety of ages. My favorite part is the "surprise" element of some of the features. They'll turn off after a lengthy period of time and stay off long enough to lull you into thinking it's safe to walk across before turning on and getting you soaked! My wife and I were seeking a place to take our 4 and one-year-olds to cool off on a hot day and this was perfect. We'll definitely come back for this part of the park alone. The water park is adjacent to an impressive playground which also supports toddlers (as young as 2 years old, according to a sign there) tp older children. The playground features stuff you would expect from any modern playground (like slides and tubes) but also some stuff I haven't seen elsewhere, like elements which are like a suspension bridge - and test balancing - and climbing ropes. Both the splash pad and playground are enclosed within a fenced perimeter and there is a completely open layout, making it simple to keep an eye on your kids if you want to park yourself on one of several benches or if you want to lay out on a sizable grassy area (also within the fenced-in portion). There's also a shaded picnic area at the top of a perch from which you can see the entire area, if you want to get the high ground as you watch your kids. The splash pad is pretty easy on feet (you could walk around in it barefoot), but bring something to put on your feet if you're going to use the playground area. The playground area has a luxurious cushioned rubber surface but one oversight with it is the surface is hot to the touch on sunny Summer days. The grounds surrounding the splash pad and playground are also nice for a picnic or stroll. And while I didn't try them out during my first visit I'll likely spend some time on the nice basketball courts here, the next time I'm there. They're immaculate and feature what appear to be Plexiglas backboards. I advised this is a hidden gem because it's difficult to see from the roads. You could easily miss it, even if you're using GPS navigation, because there is very little signage to advise of where it is.

Went to my first Autumnfest and it was great. There was one local artist selling $10 prints so I grabbed up some artwork as well & I grabbed a fabulous cowrie bracelet. It was actually the exact one I was looking for. I thought it was a nice day out in the park with the community on a spectacular crisp fall afternoon. It was a beautiful day. "I was homeschooled. It's a nice place for family gathering. It's a nice picnic place too. More benches and tables and even some BBQ grill would really be great! Just a suggestion

We love this park , My kids play baseball here, we go to Autumnfest, Fourth of July event its all nice and wonderful !

Very Beautiful Park. Went here for my nephews baseball game. Ended up grabbing pictures of the guns.

This is a really great park for Woonsocket. Kids love it here. There ks a large playground, large splash pad, basketball courts, training equipment and many paths.

Amazing transformation for this little historic park in the heart of Woonsocket. Recent 2.2 million dollar renovation makes this park the best in town! State of the art children’s park surrounded by beautiful greenery, that transforms into a splash park in the hot summer days, and it’s FREE!!! Love this little gem!

This place was great! Clean spot with wide open spaces and as splash pad makes this as ideal toddler getaway.

Went to the Fall fest and got deep fried Oreos which tasted odd but okay. Did a sand bottle also

Amazing park been bringing my girls for a few years now and even had my youngest birthday party there in the spring time! Well maintained and animals seem spoiled and happy to interact with the children. Pro tip bring quarters and a ziplock bag for corn for the animals with feeding buckets and the animals manners every kid can feed them safely

I understand its a city park but its a sunday afternoon and want to bring my two kids to have fun on a summer day and the splash pads not working

I've gone here for over a decade multiple times a year. They have done a great job cleaning this place up & making it great for the community. The city keeps it clean & looking nice. I also noticed they installed free gym equipment for people to use which I think is a very cool feature.

Wonderful park with water splash,Slides and rope climbing

Nice clean park behind the Woonsocket DMV. There are trails and a good sized playground for a wide rage of ages. There is also a splash pad for the hot months. Could use a bit more signage.
