Yerevan Resident Hotel, Yerevan

When we arrived, we were told that our room was actually located in the connected building, Shirak Hotel. I would have preferred to be informed of this before booking. The room was in poor condition. Most of the lights were not working, only one light worked, and I had to use my phone flashlight at night to see properly. The location is good, but the service is terrible. Housekeeping was very poor. They did not clean the room properly, did not vacuum the floor, did not clean the toilet, and did not change the bed covers until I specifically asked them to. The only thing they seemed to do was leave two bottles of water and toilet paper. The kettle smelled horrible. We asked for it to be replaced, and they said they would do it the next day, but no one ever changed it. We rented a car, and every time we needed to enter or leave the parking area, we had to open and close the gate ourselves. Is this supposed to be a self-service hotel? There was even an insect in the toilet, and it was left there without being removed. One positive point was the lady responsible for breakfast with black hair. She was very helpful, took good care of us, and made our breakfast experience much more pleasant. Please do not advertise this as a 5 star hotel because it is nowhere near that standard. I would definitely not book this hotel again.

Хорошее местоположение и на этом всё. Начиная с заселения, нам дали номер на 12м этаже соседней гостиницы Ширак, гостиница старая, были наслышаны про нее много плохих отзывов и были неприятно удивлены оказаться в ее корпусе. (Резиденту выделен в ней один этаж). При заселении администратор диктовал нам пароли от вай фая, уточнял, что там у вас много сетей и от некоторых он не помнит пароль, а от каких помнит, то диктует на слух, странно, что он думал, будто мы запомним это огромное количество информации, но мы честно надеялись, что в номере есть хоть какая-то информация о вай фае, но ее не оказалось. Мы решили не пользоваться вай фаем, у нас есть безлимитный интернет поэтому, мы даже и не вникали в этот сложный вопрос Заселение прошло без лишних вопросов, мы лишь уточнили, что нам потребуется чек и инвойс. Чек нам сразу не выдали, так как закончилась кассовая лента. За чеком и инвойсом мы пришли в последний вечер перед выселением. Получили инвойс без чека (кассовый аппарат сломался и будет починен уже после нашего отъезда), нам повезло, что этот вопрос был решен в тот же вечер и мы получили чек. Вернемся к номеру. Какое наше было удивление, когда мы зашли в номер. Как будто перед нами тут кто-то жил и даже не убирались: комплиментарный набор состоял из 2х бутылок воды, 2 пакета черного чая и 1 кофе, второй перед нами кто-то попил и оставил обертку. По полу ванной были длинные черные волосы, в постели я тоже нашла этот волос.. и я надеялась лишь на то, что в этом отеле все таки меняют постельное белье и этот волос оказался тут случайно. Впрочем, за все время нашего пребывания волосы в ванной так никто и не прибрал, хотя мы наивно вешали табличку о требовании уборки. Об уборке здесь не знают ничего, меняют только полотенца и заправляют постель, без тапок ходить по полу было явно неприятно, ковролин в старых пятнах и явно требует замены или глубокой чистки. При заселении было 2 тюбика шампуня и один гель для душа, половина жидкого мыла и пол рулона туалетной бумаги. Шампунь и гель для душа не пополнялись, а когда закончилась туалетная бумага и не пополнилась после уборки, пришлось звонить на рецепшен с просьбой занести. Важный момент, когда мы зашли первый раз в номер - было открыто окно, мы не подозревали беды, оказывается, если весь день держать номер без проветривания - то появляется запах канализации в комнате. Днем мы открывали окно, на ночь включали кондиционер, кондиционер очень шумный, внутренни блок так сильно гудит, что я иногда просыпалась от его шума. Слышимость. Номер у нас был угловой и был без соседей, шум был слышен только из коридора, но в последнюю ночь я слышала хохот и веселье соседей, так что если отель заполнен, то возможно вы не сможете заснуть. Завтрак на оценку удовлетворительно. Если не придете в первый час после открытия, то вам не достанется даже яичница, а кроме нее, вам позавтракать будет нечем. В меню завтрака отсутствует банальная позиция - молочная каша, но зато есть греча и суп. Из напитков стоит брать только воду или чай, кофе варит женщина, которая следит за завтраком, если вы не большой ценитель кофе, то можете брать Если вы смотрите этот отель, то крайне не советую, за такую цену есть более приличные гостиницы, в которых вы сможете отдохнуть

I wouldn’t normally leave a review like this, but my experience here was really disappointing. I had to book this hotel urgently through Booking.com. When I arrived, the staff suggested I keep only one night on Booking.com and cancel the rest to book directly with them at a discounted rate. After a long flight, I was exhausted and agreed. Unfortunately, the stay was very poor. My room was on the 12th floor, next to Yerevan Residence, and every night from around 1am there was constant noise—people running, shouting, and talking loudly for hours. I had a conference to attend each day and was left extremely tired. Service was also lacking. There was no daily cleaning, and I had to repeatedly request fresh towels. The bedding was inadequate (a child-sized blanket for an adult), and overall the service felt very low standard. Breakfast, served at Yerevan Residence, was extremely basic—no proper coffee machine (just instant coffee), no toaster, and very limited options. The staff member there was also quite rude. After multiple requests, I was moved to a room in Yerevan Residence for the last two nights. The room itself was better and quieter, but the same issues continued—no cleaning, no fresh towels, and no proper bedding. On the positive side, they did prepare a takeaway breakfast for me when I had to leave early, which I appreciated. However, overall this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Yerevan. This was my 7th visit to the city, and unfortunately my first time staying here—and I would not recommend this hotel

Достаточно чисто, достаточно уютно. Персонал вежливый. Хорошое расположение. Из минусов, не очень понравилась еда на завтраке, еда была холодная, яиц жареных не осталось, колбаса сыр обветренные.

Absolutely horrible. We arrived at 9pm on the day we had booked through booking.com and they told us that our room was given to someone else. The receptionist didn't even try to help us and acted as if it didn't matter. Disgusting experience, would not recommend. Not professional at all.

worst hotel experience we’ve ever had We booked and fully paid for a 5-star hotel through Booking.com. Upon arrival, we were told our room wasn’t available, and instead we were sent to a completely different 3-star hotel (Shirak Hotel) — without our consent or proper explanation. We were forced to accept this downgrade after payment was already taken, otherwise we would have immediately booked another hotel ourselves. What followed was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had: • The room was dirty, not cleaned even once during our stay • No towels — we were given only one towel for four people • Broken window leaking water when it rained • Window could not be closed • No hand soap, no amenities • Bathroom smelled horribly due to sewage • TV didn’t work • only one iron for the whole building • Cigarette smoke from other rooms came into our bathroom through the ventilation • The reception staff changed daily and no one knew about our situation or helped When we were finally moved to the original hotel building a few days later, we were told it was an “upgrade” — but this still did not meet 5-star standards by any means. We repeatedly asked for assistance during our stay and were ignored. After checking out, we contacted the hotel for a refund. They refused, offering only meaningless “future discounts” — which we will never use, as we will never return. We’ve since submitted a formal complaint to Booking.com and provided all photos and evidence. This hotel is a scam and should not be listed as 5 stars. We paid premium rates and were treated with complete disrespect. Avoid at all costs.

Начну с того, что мы забронировали 3 номера. Мы приехали в час дня.нам сказали, что нас заселят в два часа и пустят. Мы уехали и вернулись в три часа ночи. Нам сказали, что свободных номеров больше нет, и нам могут предоставить один номер категории «люкс», который не рассчитан на 5 человек. После долгих споров нашлись два свободных номера, и нас пустили в один, потому что другой номер был неубран, и уборщице пришлось убрать его позже. (Было уже четыре часа дня). Короче говоря, мы наконец-то попали в «убранные» номера, в которых было пыль, вонь и чьи-то трусики, висящие в ванной. Несмотря на то, что мы попросили убрать эти трусики, уборщица так и не пришла. По нашему личному опыту, мы не рекомендуем этот отель. Не позволяйте никому думать, что это пятизвёздочный отель, на самом деле это даже не трёхзвёздочный.

This is a great hotel. I stayed 4 nights. My room was spotless, with an excellent shower and a really comfy bed. It didn’t have a desk, but no problem – the Reception provided one 10 minutes after I checked in even though I arrived after 10pm. The breakfast was the best I enjoyed on my 1,500km tour around Armenia. Off-street parking was provided as well. Special thanks to young manageress Nazeli for making everything happen with record speed; to Hasmik at the Reception for her fast, efficient and professional service; and to ever-smiling Sona and her colleagues in the restaurant, for serving up the best – and varied, every morning – breakfast I’ve had anywhere in Armenia (and I drove around the whole country before coming to Yerevan).

Absolutely Disgusting – This Place Should Be Shut Down If I could give negative stars, I would. This hotel is an absolute nightmare. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we entered a ghost town run by people who clearly hate their jobs – if they even bother showing up. The reception is NEVER attended, and when you finally manage to track someone down (if you’re lucky), you’re met with pure attitude and zero help. The water was dirty—yes, brown, disgusting water coming out of the taps like we were showering in sewage. And don’t even get me started on the towels. One night, we called reception asking for clean towels, and their response? “We don’t have any. Shower tomorrow.” Excuse me? What kind of hotel tells guests to delay basic hygiene because they ran out of towels? The staff? Rude, lazy, and clearly untrained. It honestly felt like we were intruding just by asking for help. The whole place was filthy, mismanaged, and downright inhospitable. Even if they PAID ME to stay here, I’d rather sleep on the sidewalk. At least then I wouldn’t expect service. This place is a disgrace to the word “hotel.” Avoid it

Очень хороший отель. Был номер superior. Все чисто, аккуратно. Довольно неплохой завтрак. Голодным никто не останется. Очень приветливый и отзывчивый персонал. Мой день рождения попал на время проживания. Был приятный сюрприз от отеля. Расположение замечательное - 5 мин пешком от площади Республики. Много магазинов и ресторанов в пешей доступности. Цена = качество.

I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. This place clearly went through some changes, and it shows. The owner was on-site during my stay, making sure everything was running smoothly, and the staff were professional and attentive without being overbearing. The property itself is very clean, quiet, and well kept. For the price, the quality is impressive. I’ll absolutely be returning.

Firstly, i would like to honestly give a positive feedback about Nazeli, the front desk representative who was like a savior. If it wasn't for her we would check out the very next day. She was sooooo kind, generous, helpful and always so accommodating. Only if the hotel could run better with just one person. All other staff were very rude, unkind and didnt know english. Its fine if you don’t understand english cz kindness doesnt need a language. They would make faces, mostly be frustrated dont know why!! If we would ask for a help they would say my shift time is over before it was over. The breakfast was not good enough. Its located beautifully, hoping the management changes the staff for it to run more successfully.

المكان زبال / لايوجد تكييف / الخدمة وله السيرفس جداً تعبان بلعكس ما يخدمونك / مافي تنظيف الغرف / نصيحة دورولكم فندق غير هاذا الفندق . The place is garbage / There is no air conditioning / The service is very bad, on the contrary, they do not serve you / There is no room cleaning / My advice is to find a hotel other than this one. Perfect spacious room with big couches and small balcony, the bathroom has a Jacuzzi in it 😍, the Hotel is very clean and very comfy, it's almost in the center of the city and the park next to the hotel is amazing, there are so many grocery shops around as also so many restaurants. The service was good and the breakfast was nice as well, the team is very nice and helping a lot, i will book this hotel anytime i go to Yerevan.

I will not recommend this hotel worst experience ever there is no staff on reception. My room Ac was not working and I was calling 5-6 times but no body was on reception and they did not kept towel as well we were waiting for towel till next day . I went down for sherevan hotel which is part of Yerevan residency I think I told her lady reception my room ac is not working please help me to sort this issue . She was rudely saying go I can not do open the window. Don’t go there guys very disappointing. This is my honest reviews . Location of hotel is nice I love Yerevan city.

Отличный отель для Еревана. Хорошее местоположение в центре и в тоже время тихо. Номера нормально оборудованы. Есть халаты, тапочки, сейф. Завтраки достаточно разнообразные. Персонал приветливый и отзывчивый.

I had a really bad experience in this hotel where I had to checkout within 15mins of check in. Confusion on the rates quoted instead of 2 nights for 1 night but then no courtesy to handle the customer with friendliness. Instead please make sure you empty your room ASAP was the ask with asking whether we used anything from the mini bar etc. No courtesy at all. These are the same owners of Shirak hotel and trust me rooms there as well are smelly and pathetic.

Save yourself lots of frustration and go to another Hotel: PERIOD! This is by far the worst hotel i have stayed in for a long time. Breakfast is from 8am -11am. Good variety , but sub standard quality. They use a domestic “bean to coffee machine” at breakfast which is slow and cumbersome to use. Breakfast is made in the Shirak hotel and brought over to this hotel. The fresh fruit is the worst quality i have seen in Yerevan, even the street vendors have better quality. The block out curtains are to small for the window, the door let the hallway lights shine onto the bed at night: very annoying at 3 am when trying to sleep. The entire building have a hollow core atrium from sub ground to top floor, everything is tiled, with spiral steps passing most rooms: THUS every sound Ecco’s: This place is NOISY! Then: enjoy the beef liver/ heart or Lung stew for breakfast…. Not so appetizing! This is a hotel to skip, ran by friendly but untrained staff which don’t speak English and have no customer relation training nor intuition. O my word, how will i survive another 10days in this hotel! O yes, the duvet is to small for the standard length mattress and don’t cover the sides of the bed…so is the bed linnen to short to cover the mattress…if you are 1.75m tall: this bed is to short for you and your feet will hang over the end! No face towel in bathroom either, maybe because the don’t supply shower gel. I took it on myself to remove the gunk and hair from the shower drain, to avoid flooding my room while showering or standing in 5cm soapy water and rinsing my feet in the basin after showering! I have 5 single power outlets in my room, each with a telephone port…. Why? AND ALL at Ankle hight! Lovely! As i said before: Book another Hotel.. and not the Shirak either: That is just as bad! As its the some owners and management and most of my co-workers stay there with all the same issues and feedback.

Спасибо за гостеприимство! Однозначно, лучший отель в Ереване - самый центр. Завтраки разнообразные, чистота безупречная. Вернусь еще с детьми :)) а детский бассейн очень обрадовал!
