Bad experience. We paid €325 for one night for two people, which is absolutely unacceptable for what this hotel offers. The room is extremely small, far smaller than what you would expect for such an outrageous price. The amenities are basically non-existent: no shower cap, no toiletries, no basic bathroom products, just a generic soap dispenser in the shower. The only thing provided was one small bottle of water per person and nothing else. For an airport hotel charging these prices, the level of service is honestly ridiculous. The staff was rude and not helpful at all, which made the experience even worse. Breakfast is not included and costs around €20 per person, but the quality is very poor: bad coffee and not even a decent croissant. Overall, the value for money is terrible. One of the worst price-to-quality ratios I’ve experienced in a hotel. 100% not recommended. Definitely not worth the price.

Okay; I really need a while to break down this review so you know what to expect! First and foremost; this accommodation is far too expensive even compared to actual hotels (4 stars and higher). They charge beyond luxury hotels and offer little to nothing. An over night stay, I mean barely 5 hours cost 400+ Euros and a 20 more euros for breakfast ( please don’t waste your money on this). Give credit where credit is due; the room is a decent. Although the bed is not very comfortable but definitely good enough for a short sleep/rest! Small shower, bathroom, a TV… that’s about it. If you desperately need a shower and a bed then this is probably your best (only) option without leaving the Airport. Whatever you do, please don’t waste money on this thing they call breakfast here… extremely disappointing! The coffee was horrible! Everything else tasted like it was sitting out over night and probably true cause I saw people just sleeping/lounging in the dining area.

My experience with YOTEL Istanbul was extremely disappointing and unfair. I had a confirmed reservation at YOTEL Istanbul Airport Hotel, but unfortunately my airline canceled my flight due to the ongoing political tensions and conflicts in the Middle East. This situation was completely outside of my control. As soon as I learned about the cancellation, I contacted the hotel in advance to explain the situation and inform them that I would not be able to arrive. Despite this, the hotel still charged me a no-show fee (approximately $383 USD), which I find completely unreasonable and abusive. This was not a voluntary cancellation or negligence on my part. The flight cancellation happened due to extraordinary geopolitical circumstances that left travelers in a vulnerable and stressful situation. Instead of showing understanding or basic human consideration, the hotel insisted on applying the charge anyway. Travel disruptions caused by international conflicts are clearly beyond the control of guests. Charging such a large penalty after being notified in advance shows a lack of empathy and flexibility toward travelers facing difficult circumstances. I strongly believe the hotel should reconsider this charge and adopt a more humane and reasonable approach in situations where guests are affected by events completely outside their control.

We had a 12 hour layover in Istanbul and this hotel made our day soooo much better. We arrived 5am so we could shower and rest some before hitting the city for the day. Rooms were clean and very spacious. There is a nice gym and bar/restaurant onsite if you prefer to stay at the airport. So worth the money to sneak in two showers and rest during a LONG travel day 🇻🇳 🇹🇭🇹🇷🇺🇸

I stayed at this hotel during the night from Friday to Saturday after a very late flight at Istanbul Airport. I wanted to book a room to rest before my next flight and ended up staying for only about four hours. The hotel itself is very large, modern, and visually impressive. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a shower, which was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, there was a very long queue with several families. When I reached the counter and asked if a room was available, the staff member first spoke in Turkish with a colleague. There seemed to be a misunderstanding, as they initially assumed I was traveling with multiple people. After I clarified that I was alone, the staff member again consulted his colleague and then told me in English that no room was available. Only after I asked again and another internal discussion took place, I was suddenly offered a room. I paid over 400 euros for a stay of around four hours. When I asked about hourly rates, I was told that hourly payment is normally possible, but “not at that moment.” I found the price-performance ratio extremely unbalanced. There was no flexibility or goodwill shown, despite the very short stay. Overall, the situation gave me the impression that the focus was primarily on maximizing profit, which is disappointing, especially in an airport hotel setting.

Response: Dear Emrah, Thank you for your message. I understand the convenience of being inside the airport, but the room price still felt extremely high compared to the quality and overall experience I received. The value did not match the cost. I appreciate your willingness to review the issue. I will reach out with more details if needed, but I hope my feedback helps improve future guest experiences. Best regards, Waisuddin Samadi Subject: Extremely Overpriced Stay – $1,400 for Two Nights Dear Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay. I paid $1,400 for two nights ($700 per night), and the experience did not match the price at all. The room and overall quality were far below what I expected for such an expensive rate. I understand that the hotel is located inside the airport, but the cost was unreasonably high for the value provided. I left feeling that the stay was not worth the price I paid. I hope you review your pricing and improve the quality of the rooms and services to better match the cost. Sincerely, Waisuddin Samadi

Extremely overpriced and disappointing YOTEL Istanbul Airport tried to charge $750 for only 12 hours of stay. That price is beyond unreasonable and feels like outright price gouging. I have traveled through airports all over the world and have never seen an airport hotel charge more than $300 for a full night, let alone half a day. There was zero flexibility or humanity shown—just a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. In the end, it was far cheaper to rent a car and drive less than 10 minutes to another hotel, where I slept comfortably for under $100. This kind of pricing is shameful and gives a terrible impression to travelers. Tourists should not be treated like cash cows. Experiences like this are why people never come back. This hotel seriously needs to do better.

Be careful!! Not friendly staff in the restaurant. After breakfast, we went to the sofas and they said "you cannot be here, it's for staff". Obviously it's not for staff. He overcharged us, almost four times the regular price, telling its "table service". Being with a 4 years old girl and waiting for the flight there, they kick you. Ruined the experience. Staff trying to scam the clients, how can the owner allow the staff ruin the image of the business?

A convenient spot for a pre-flight rest, though the experience was marred by poor maintenance. While the sleeping area was perfectly adequate, the shower in Room 1051 suffered from a weak flow and a sluggish drain. Given the premium pricing, guests should be able to expect seamless basic amenities. I’d suggest the facilities team take a closer look at that unit to bring it back up to par.

Stayed one night expecting a premium experience and great sleep given the price, but it was quite the opposite. Paid around $500 for a very small room, which felt overpriced for what was offered. The room service staff member was extremely kind and friendly, but unfortunately all requests were declined. Breakfast was not included, and the on site restaurant was very expensive for fairly average food. The interior lighting throughout the hotel gives more of a nightclub or strip club vibe, which may appeal to some but was not what we were expecting for a luxury stay. I do not mind paying a premium when the experience matches the cost, but this hotel needs major upgrades, especially in front desk service. The rooms are simply too small for the prices being charged.

My mother’s flight was delayed by 24 hours, and because she did not have a visa, she was unable to leave the airport. I wanted her to have a safe place to rest, so I booked a room at YOTEL inside the airport. Within 20 minutes of making the reservation, my mother arrived at the hotel reception. She does not speak English or Turkish, so she handed the phone to the receptionist so I could provide the reservation number. The receptionist informed me that the booking I made was for the airside location, while my mother was on the landside and could not access that area. I explained that she is elderly, does not speak the language, and could not navigate the airport alone. I politely asked if they could accommodate her at the landside location, even if I had to pay extra. I was told the landside room was more expensive (almost double the price), which I was willing to pay. However, the customer service representative then stated that the physical credit card used to make the reservation had to be present for verification. Since I had booked the room for my mother remotely, she did not have my credit card with her. Because of this, they refused to accommodate her at the landside hotel — even though I was willing to pay the higher rate. The representative was also very impolite and dismissive throughout the conversation, showing no empathy for my mother’s situation. I then asked to cancel the reservation. The manager canceled it and said I would be charged a cancellation fee, although he also mentioned I might be charged fully. Five days later, I was charged the full amount. I have now contacted YOTEL customer service seven times, and they continue to refuse a refund — even though my mother never stayed at the hotel and no service was provided. So to summarize: you cannot be accommodated if the credit card is not physically present, but you can still be fully charged even when the service is never used. My elderly mother was left to sleep in the airport, and I was charged in full. This experience was extremely disappointing, and based on how this situation was handled, I would not recommend booking here.

Was in Istanbul Airport had to wait 9 hours for next flight with my brother. Rember Ed there was a cheap hourly hotel that I used before The bad news it was more than double price from a year ago. Because of thus I don't recommend it unless you have to. The rooms are clean and you can relax and have shower and sleep. So if you don't want to sleep you can go to VIP lounge and relax there and have a shower. Just rembering that it more than doubled in price got me mad. I probabely will not stay in this hotel the next time. The fact that it's inside the airport is convenient

I recently stayed at Yotel in Istanbul International Airport, and overall, everything was fantastic. The rooms are very comfortable and they have this really cool feature where you can choose the color of the ambient lighting at night, which was a nice touch. The TVs are great and the overall vibe is really relaxing. The only challenge I encountered was the shower water temperature, which tended to fluctuate a bit, possibly due to water pressure issues. If they could address that, it would be perfect. Otherwise, the service was excellent, the rooms were super convenient, and I’d definitely recommend them.

Location- right in the airport, it cannot get better than this if you have a long stay especially overnight. Price- a bit expensive than outside of Airport but that is what you pay for the convenience and I can never get why non US hotels charge extra even for kids under 5. Rooms-Rooms were great and modern. RGB lights, outlets and multi pole switches all over. My only problem was some of the outlets were not working and why would you not have international outlets in an Airport hotel rather than EU specific outlets. Staff- At least for me the front desk folks were uninviting and a bit rude, they need to be more accommodating to people and questions. A simple smile can go a long way.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at YOTEL Istanbul. After checking out early, I realized that my phone was left in the room. What is most concerning is that my iPhone has been continuously tracked at YOTEL via Find My iPhone, yet the hotel claimed they could not find it after their investigation. Despite multiple follow-ups, the response from the hotel has been slow, unclear, and unhelpful. There was no concrete solution, no sense of urgency, and no responsibility taken, even though the phone’s live location clearly shows it remains within the hotel premises. For a hotel that presents itself as modern and professional, the handling of this issue was deeply disappointing. Losing a personal item is stressful enough, but the lack of proper support and resolution from the hotel made the situation far worse. I expected better accountability and customer care.
