A very good university though distinct from ETH, next door, which is a top 10 university in the world. These two schools are situated up top in Zurich and the whole vicinity is a neat place to stop by when visiting, to see both universities and the surrounding views. Recommend riding up the little tram during the day and at night for varying views.

Another university we managed to visit during our german-speaking counties trip is the University of Zurich. Fortunately on the 4th of September when we were there, it appeared to have an open doors event (we did found out the previous evening), so we managed to visit the booth of the different programs we were interested in, also to present to one of the lectures. This is a one-time experience, I recommend to all parents and future students who want to study in Switzerland.

ここってスイス最大規模の大学らしくて、キャンパスも広くて雰囲気がすごく落ち着いてるんだよね。歴史ある建物と緑が多い環境が合わさってて、勉強目的じゃなくてもふらっと立ち寄るだけで楽しいし、知的好奇心も刺激される感じ。丘の上にあるから景色も良くて、ちょっと歩けば街の全体が見渡せるビューポイントもあるよ。有名な研究者も多く輩出してて、学問の空気を感じたい人にはぜひおすすめしたい場所かも。

Eine tolle Uni, verteilt über die Stadt und mit einem grossen, qualitativ hochwertigen Studienangebot. Man sieht, dass sich die DozentInnen, die Leitung und alle Mitarbeitenden Jahr für Jahr für Bildung, Fortschritt und Wissenschaft einsetzen, um uns eine stabilere, sichere, nachhaltige Zukunft zu ermöglichen. Natürlich gibt es wie überall noch Verbesserungsbedarf, allerdings schmälert dies nicht die vielen Vorzüge der Universität. Unter den Studierenden herrscht ein freundliches, familiäres und hilfsbereites Klima, wobei ein(e) jede(r) hier Anschluss finden kann. Auch mit den extracurriculären und Freizeit-Angeboten überzeugt die Uni, insb. in Zusammenarbeit mit der ETH (die in meinen Augen noch stärker sein könnte). This was a pretty neat place. It’s pretty much just a college. The coolest thing about this place to me was Einstein’s locker, which is very small. They decorated and everything. But other than that, probably not worth the hype. However, right outside the building is an amazing photo area and it’s right next to the polybahn.

If you believe your children deserve access to world-class education in an outstanding city, this is a place worth recommending.

The Zoological museum is fantastic and free entry. A must visit if you are in Zurich and interested.

Bestes für mich Spital in der Schweiz, im Vergleich zu anderen besuchten 4 in verschiedenen Landesregionen. Sehr hohes Niveau in Forschung, Ärzte-, Pflege-, Administrativ-Personal. Freundlichkeit, Kompetenz, Ärzte nehmen sich Zeit für den Patienten (auch älteren Semesters) mit Sorgfalt in Beurteilung, Diagnose und Beratung. Bestimmte Fakten gelangen in die Forschung zum Wohl der Patienten, das glaubt man. Gleiche Erfahrung in allen besuchten Spital-Kliniken. Man spürt das gute Arbeitsklima im Spital und merkt durch im Warteraum umliegende Broschüren, die Patienten (kurze Wartezeit bei festgelegten Terminen) im Wartesaal lesen können, nebst dem Patienten-Zeitvertrieb, dass Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten dem Personal angeboten werden. Ein Beurteilungsfragebogen wird nach Abschluss dem Patienten zugestellt, wo Rückmeldungen inkl. allfälliger Kritik an die Verwaltung gelangen. Für mich in jeder Klinik gab es nur Lob. Man spürt Führungsqualität der Leitung und Engagement in allen Ebenen. Gut so für Patienten.

Es ist bemerkenswert, wie starre Bildungsstrukturen auch im Jahr 2026 noch Hürden für erfahrene Fachkräfte schaffen – besonders für Menschen, deren Stärken und Expertise sich nicht in klassischen Abschlüssen widerspiegeln. Viele neurodivergente Menschen, aber auch andere hochqualifizierte Personen, haben aus unterschiedlichen Gründen nie die Chance auf ein Abitur gehabt. Doch ihre jahrelange Praxis, ihr Fachwissen und ihre Fähigkeit, sich in komplexen, internationalen Umfeldern zu behaupten, beweisen täglich, dass Lernen und Kompetenz weit über formale Zertifikate hinausgehen. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn Bildungseinrichtungen und Arbeitgeber den Fokus stärker auf tatsächliche Fähigkeiten, Erfahrung und Potenzial legen würden – statt auf Papiere. Denn in einer Zeit, in der lebenslanges Lernen und Anpassungsfähigkeit entscheidend sind, sollten wir Barrieren abbauen, nicht aufrechterhalten. Vielleicht ist es an der Zeit, alternative Wege der Anerkennung zu schaffen, die Vielfalt und individuelle Bildungsbiografien wertschätzen. Ableismus, sehr schade in 2026 und eine Ohrfeige für viele Hochbegabte die nicht an einer Uni lernen dürfen.

Das "Psychologische Institut Entwicklungspsych. Säuglings- Kindesalter" der Universität Zürich versendet Umfragebögen für eine Studie/Forschung wofür man sein Kind anmelden könnte, ansich finde ich solche Dinge wichtig und richtig. Nun könnte ich mein Kind auf dem Formular auch als "divers" kennzeichnen... Ich habe nichts dagegen, wenn sich ein Erwachsener als was auch immer definiert, ich bin immer für maximale Freiheit der Menschen. Ein Kind kommt biologisch betrachtet aber nunmal einfach männlich oder weiblich auf die Welt. Es sollte also bei so einer Studie um faktische Datenerhebung gehen und nicht um etwas, was durch die Einstellung der Eltern dem Kind "auferlegt/nachgesagt" wird oder im Kopfe der Forschungsleiter sitzt. Das Kind sagt ganz sicher nicht, dass es divers sei, diese Thematik ist für ein Säugling/Kind noch völlig ungreifbar. Es hat in diesem Kontext (Säugling/Kind) also rein logisch nichts verloren... Eine Universität die das nicht versteht ist offenbar gar nicht ein einer sinnvollen Datenerhebung interessiert und verfehlt mE das Ziel, sehr schade, aber der Brief landet direkt in der Akte "P". Mein Kind ist auch kein Weltentdecker*innen, sondern ein Weltenentdecker und meine Tochter wäre eine Weltenentdeckerin (jawohl WeltEN :) ), soviel Zeit haben wir doch noch! Bei der URL ist es besser, da ist gendern schwieriger was ;-) www.kleineweltentdecker.ch Vielleicht denkt ihr nochmals darüber nach und macht es beim nächsten Mal anders, soweit jedenfalls mein Input!
