Alamut Valley mostly known as the Valley of the Assassins is getting more popular due to the Trekking possibilities. The most popular trail is the one from Garmaroud, towards Piche bon and Yuj to the Caspian sea. It is recommended that if possible try to plan at least two days for the valley. One day visiting the highlights of it i.e. Alamut castle, the Canyons and Ovan Lake and one other day for trekking in the valley. You can also have multi-days plan in trekking. Depending on your age and fitness, the trails can be planed but do not forget to bring or buy your walking/trekking shoes, walking sticks if possible, warm clothes and sunscreen. We had amazing 2days trip in Alamut valley with qualified guide! Trip was perfect - car, nightstaying, food were really good. Haiking wasn't extremely difficult and had really breathtaking views. We had a great time with Hosein in the valley. He took very good care of us. The valley was far more beautiful than we even could have expected. We highly recommend to do Alamut valley tour and especialy the drive from Piche Bon to the Caspian sea. Nature and the mountains in that region are jaw dropping!
