Bed and Breakfast Thamel

I stayed with them for three nights, it was very comfortable, we booked room with two beds but they give us very small double beded room. Plus point was it had a AC which kept us warm/hot shower was possible in the evening only. Thanks to Rajan bhai for his assistant, and also to the owner for allowing us to use the kitchen for free. Thanks for the lovely breakfast. Very peaceful and has terrace in front of your room. You will never regret staying here.

No Lift, not much room service. Not an ideal place if you are a foreigner. It's okay for Nepalese tourist. The staff Rajan was very helpful and great with communication.

I booked the room 4 days before arrival for 3 days by number, they confirmed my reservation. On the day of the areivql, I wrote when Íi will arrive. They didnt answer. And at evening i stayed on the street because they booked my room 😀 Nepali business

Siamo rimasti molto delusi. Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti e dalle foto la camera sembrava lussuosa. Non siamo viaggiatori che cercando lusso, ma almeno la pulizia. La moquette era lurida, gli asciugamani macchiati e ingialliti (abbiamo usato i nostri che fortunatamente abbiamo portato con noi). La camera era direttamente sulla strada e molto, molto rumorosa durante la notte. La mattina i raccoglitori di spazzatura si ritrovano sotto l’hotel e dalle 4 del mattino vieni svegliato con rumore di vetri che sbattono. È davvero spiacevole. Colazione solo dopo le 8:30, c’è un solo tavolo con 4 sedie in cucina e si crea una grande confusione quando tutti gli ospiti vogliono fare colazione alla stessa ora, dovendo aspettare anche oltre le 9 per essere serviti nonostante che si è arrivati in cucina alle 8:30. La colazione in 4 giorni è sempre stata uguale (due fette di pane toast, un uovo, qualche pezzetto di patata e di verdura). Nessuno che in 4 notti ha vuotato i nostri cestini o che ci ha portato un rotolo di carta igienica. Solo il personale è cordiale e la posizione molto buona, per il resto, non vale i soldi che paghi.

Non capisco le buone recensioni.... Positivo: camera spaziosa e doccia calda. In pieno centro di Thamel. Negativo: rumore tutta la notte, strada turistica, usano la strada dalle 4 per dividere i rifiuti (rumori di bottiglie, lattine e altro). Ovviamente poi suonano il clacson per avvisarli. 4 giorni mai svuotato un cestino. Colazione alle 8.30 in avanti, se ci sono troppe persone la signora fa una colazione alla volta e può aspettare anche parecchio tempo. Camera trovata sporca, moquette bagno e il cuscino non aveva un buon odore. Nel complesso non lo consiglio affatto.

Когда я только заехала — мне было не по себе, потому что в Непале я оказалась случайно и внутреннее состояние было не очень. Но на второй день я поняла что не хочу переезжать в другое место. Мне понравилось ощущения себя в гостях у родных. Мне понравился домашний завтрак. Мне понравилась крыша с террасой и конечно персонал который не давал мне унывать. Как итог я прожила в этом отеле 2 недели ) вернусь ли еще ? Конечно !) увидимся в ноябре

I had a very nice stay here on my last night in Kathmandu. On the day before my arrival, the manager contacted me via WhatsApp to welcome me and see if I needed a ride from the airport which was a thoughtful touch. Location is great right in the heart of Thamel. Entrance is in between 2 shops which is a bit tricky to find at first. The room was very big, comfortable and clean with everything I needed. Breakfast was modest but is made fresh. You feel like you are staying with a kind, local family which is probably the case. On the day of my departure, they let me stay around, store my luggage with them and helped me get a taxi to the airport at a good price. Only drawback was the stairs for me, and that it was a bit tricky to find. Also at night there was some noise from the street that bothered my sleep. But other than that it was a great place to stay in, at a great price and value. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Vàrem arribar a les 6 del matí a Katmandú i sen’s va fer impossible de trobar l’hotel. Els vàrem trucar i no ens van ajudar gens. Ens penjaven el telefon i els hi va ser igual que marxessim a un altre hotel. Una experiència molt desagradable.

La localización es buena, las habitación grande y limpia, con gua caliente. Está situado en una 3r planta. La única pega es que por la noche se escucha. Si eres sensible al ruido no lo recomiendo. Calidad - precio está muy bien. El desayuno es simple pero a la vez gratuito.

Bed and Breakfast Thamel Hotel was disappointing. The rooms were not clean, the service was slow, and the facilities didn’t match what was advertised. Not a comfortable stay and wouldn’t recommend it.

The location of the B&B is very good and the host and his stuff are friendly. Also the room seemed nice at first (except the nonexistent space) but on our last night there was heavy rain which not only came through the ceiling lights (it was dripping onto our bed) but the ceiling itself was wet in the morning and water drops were forming. When we confronted the Host he seemed little impressed but asked us to send him the pictures and videos. I hope he fixed the leak before mold develops.

The room is very small price is high in the washroom. Nothing water tap. If you want to stay a long time you have to keep this hotel. 👎👎👎👎👎

I am in love with this hotel. First and foremost, it is very clean. Real, serious cleanliness. The beds are comfortable. I can trust the bathroom and there is HOT water. There is a heater/ac in the room and the WiFi is superb. Location is central. The host of this hotel is very kind. The breakfast he makes is delicious and healthy. The kitchen can be used by guests and it is beautiful, clean and marble. We have been traveling for a month, from 5 star to $4 hotels. We arrived very sick to Kathmandu. We had to cancel our cheap hostel because we needed somewhere we could get real rest and not have to leave our hotel room. This was the PERFECT place. I never want to leave.

My absolute favorite place to stay in nepal! The quality of service and the rooms is amazing. If I had the budget I would stay here forever. The breakfast is superb and the attention of the ladies who work here is beyond my expectations. Also, the manager is a kind helpful man who is always at your disposal. Can't rave enough about this hotel. The three floors "hike" is completely worth it.

I wish I had read the reviews here because had the SAME EXPERIENCE as Andrew here!!!! The room REEKED LIKE SEWAGE as rank as you can imagine. I think the smell came from the bathroom. I lit 3 incense sticks and still it didn’t help!!!!! Had to carry my luggage up 5-6 flights of stairs! Check in was horrible the manager kept asking me to change the time according to what was convenient for him and no check in after 8pm. Had to text him back and forth for 3 days stressing me out. Maybe the others rooms are better. Excellent location though and some nice balconies and fast WiFi, which I appreciated. Oh and the shower area would flood nonstop whenever I’d take a shower. Hardly any space for luggage in the room - just one. If you’re two forget it. Good thing they had hot water.

What a lovely place to stay, centrally located and super easy. It's spotlessly clean and the host offers a really delicious breakfast too.They are accommodating and helpful, I will definitely go back to stay with Yogendra should I return to Kathmandu. On a side note not all of the rooms has an attached bathroom so check on that if it's important to you. The bathroom is yours alone but not attached. If you want your stay to be easy and streamlined staying in a lovely and clean room then this is the way to go.

Good staff and helpful , comfortable stay. I have enjoyed staying here, its quite and also can see roadside a view of nightlife in kathmandu. If u have doubt can ask anything they will help. I booked from booking.com its really helpful for me. Thanks "Bed and Breakfast".

At first, we had a problem with the room, but the staff helped us very quickly and even upgraded our room. They made us feel at home and the location is also great
